Good check-in Poor information given to us on dog policy Incredibly bad and amateur service in the restaurant - and indifferent food. Overall the property is somewhat run down and in need of refurbishment

For me, the experience always begins by how I'm greeted as a new client having my first visit at a hotel. The vibe was so relaxed, gracious and friendly, that I extended my stay by a day even as I was checking in. I hadn't researched the spa in advance of my stay, or what services they offered. I just told them upon my arrival that I had holiday fatigue. They immediately called the spa manager, who put together a 'sea and spa pause' for every day of my stay. The spa staff was expert, kind and cheerful, the sound of the sea was right outside my window, and there's a nap and reading salon to rest in between spa services. I booked my return visit well before my current trip was up. Its one thing to be welcomed so fully when you're a returning guest whom the hotel is familiar with, but as a new arrival during a holiday week when the hotel is fully booked, all I can say is 'wow.' Also, their beds feel like you're sleeping on a cloud.

Had a very comfortable stay between Christmas and New year. Staff were lovely and food was delicious but pricey compared to what you can get in the town itself. Whilst we really enjoyed our stay, I cannot help feel the hotel was looking very old and tired and quite frankly is in desperate need a large refresh. For a hotel of this calibre the balconies were old and rusted, not inviting at all, the bathrooms were very tired and do not get me started on the indoor pool and spa facilities. The indoor pool area is full of rust and completely unappealing in every way. Given the fantastic location of this hotel, I would hope to see some huge improvements before I would book again.

Renovation is urgently needed

Perfect location, very nice and forthcoming/courteous staff but this place definitely needs a makeover! It‘s like a flashback to the 80ies. Carpets are completely worn, balconies and couches were dingy so sitting down and relaxing (eg during breakfast) was not really possibly. Sorry, but this is not what you‘d expect of a 5 star hotel. If been an Accor/Sofitel customer for quite some years now but this stay (suite) was extremely disappointing.

After two years because of Covid we could stay again in this very nice hotel, the team has changed and still very motivated. you will spend a very nice time in the Spa and Hamam. Food is excellent at the buffet for the breakfast, the breakfast in the room was not that good in comparaison.. bread was black over cooked... Also at level of our room 509 the carpet in the corridor must be changed urgently... I only see this very poor quality of carpet in old hotels with one star

Absolutely RUDE staff at your front desk. I had to call 5 times when I arrived at the train station and there were NO taxis to get to the hotel. One of the staff said extremely snottily, "you needed to book a ride with us in advance from the train station". OK, WHERE IS THIS WRITTEN? My stay was booked through a tour company and they did NOT indicate this nor arrange it. Oh, and did I mention that it was POURING RAIN? When I finally arranged a ride to the hotel myself (after over an hour), I arrived at the hotel to find that my room was not ready. Everyone around me was given their rooms. I was told that they would call me to let me know that the room would be ready - ASAP. They never called. I waited 3 hours and no call. The staff at the front desk was rude, arrogant and snotty.

We were only in Biarritz for a few days, but the stay was very nice. Being able to walk anywhere in town was a definite advantage.

This was our 3rd stay with you … and it was completely relaxing. It is hard decide on what the was the best feature: The bed? The ability to leave the door open at night and hear the waves hitting the sand? The location? The staff (who were charming, helpful and professional)? The only issues were 1) that the air conditioning didn’t work 2) the large crowd from the hair stylist convention (they loudly partied until about 2 a.m.).

The hotel has a fantastic location with great sea views. The rooms and terraces are very spacious. We were warmly welcomed by the Guest Experience Manager and the service was excellent throughout the stay. Bathroom experience (water pressure, important to me!) was good. As per my personal opinion, the hotel requires a renovation update, especially la façade, otherwise all good and value for money.
