Great location but can be noisy! Lovely hotel with really good breakfast selection, very clean but rooms are ‘compact’! But the best is the service from Reception staff. Mo and Larry were incredibly helpful …. printed out my train itinerary despite my inability to ‘find’ on my phone. Great customer service and felt safe and looked after!

Location was great. Room was small which is ok and understandable, however, the twin beds were the smallest bed I have ever stayed on at a hotel. The storage in the room was beyond minimal, and the fact that you could not temperature control the room was another first, ever. No A/C? Outlets weren't consistent (can't use the hair dryer in the bathroom) and no fan in the bathroom either.

The staff was nice and kept me well supplied with ice for an injury I sustained. However, the room while clean could have benefited from a little TLC. The bathroom door was not plumb and would not close properly, the bar for the shower head was unsecured and would fall through the bracket, no vent in the bathroom and the weather stripping for the room door was not attached to the door.

I have been here 3 days. I get one more and I don't want to leave. I'm sitting in the lobby as I write this. It's a wonderful, funky, quirky kinda place and I love it here. The staff is not a fake "Oh sir blah, blah, blah". They are down to earth, genuinely concerned with your needs, but capable enough to know when you need to fly the plane by yourself. The restaurant is perfect for what you need and the food is really good and this place is in the center of the action!!! Not only do I not want to stay anywhere else, I don't want to stay with another hotel group....THAT'S how I've been treated here! Thank you Ibis, thank you Accor and thank you Edinburgh!!!
