Mercure Villa Romanazzi Carducci Bari 4 stars

The good: + The garden is lovely + The staff is nice + Ok breakfast (ricotta was incredible) + Quite old but clean gym, sauna, and mini-pool The bad: - The AC didn't work in the room - (arguably) Uncomfortable bed and pillows. Maybe it was a spring mattress!? - They forgot to prepare takeaway breakfast that we asked for (very early flight) even though we made sure to notify them three times. - No tea set in the room - The room and bathroom are quite old and ugly - !!! Silverfish in the bathroom !!!

I liked staying at Villa Romanazzi Carducci, overall it's a very decent experience. Staff is friendly and speaks english, room looks nice with the big windows, saunas and hot tub were more than welcome and if you're coming in the summer there's a big outdoor pool waiting and a nice court. Restaurant is expensive and menu list short, but great service and good food. Breakfast is mostly Italian type, with some salty options - appreciated. What I didn't like: no soundproofing whatsoever between the rooms (common problem in Italy, but this seemed like a newer building), bathroom at 210 needs some fixes and renovation, carpets would be appreciated at least near the bed and a larger TV as the 32 inch is really far from it. Minor problems, but we had some loud neighbours (solved by reception) and you can even hear when they flush :-) All in all, would recommend for the right price, it's 10-15 mins walk from Bari Centrale and FSE station (no buses in this direction it seems).

It was pleasure to spend some holidays among good services in the nice athmosphere of Mercure Villa Romanazzi Carducci Bari Hotel. Especially We were enjoyed some great dinners in your excellent restaurant.

Staying in hotels in Italy (or probably in Europe) that does not provide just bottles of water is kind of disappointing. Though tap water is fine, I personally think a bottle of mineral water could have been provided (compared to hotel price we pay). At Romazzai, the wifi does not work at all in our room (2nd floor). When we asked the staff, the answer was 'there is nothing we can do'. They don't seem to care about this issue. Nowadays, wifi becomes one of basic needs (just like electricity and water). People on a business trip like myself who don't have cellular network need wifi to work.

From reception to bar to restaurant to housekeeping service was efficient and friendly. We really enjoyed our two nights in the restaurant where the staff went out of their way to provide gluten free meals for my wife. We are both certain that the steak we had on the second night was the best we’ve ever had served to us in a restaurant anywhere in our world travels. The one disappointment was the WiFi. The voucher method would have been acceptable had it not to used every time we attempted to access the internet. In the end, I resorted to using my phone as a hot spot since it also provided a stronger signal.

We enjoyed our spacious suite on the 7th floor, as we received an upgrade. It was very spacious and comfortable with the best shower that we have had in Italy. The restaurant is excellent with delicious Puglia cuisine and an excellent wine selection. The breakfast was also first class.. The only negative is that it is a 30 minute walk to the new town where all the action is, and a Taxi is the only alternative.

I was very satisfied with the hotel and the sevice it provided. The staff was professional and very helpful. The hotel was clean and the surrounding gardens were breathtaking. I ordered a bruschettone from the bar and it was amazing !!.

Great bathroom. Good staff, very helpful. Light and airy feel throughout the hotel.

We were visiting Puglia, indeed Bari, for the first time and we wanted a good hotel with all the facilities required by travellers. This Mercure fitted the bill perfectly. For us the private parking was a bonus at a reasonable cost. We ate in the hotel restaurant a couple of times and the food was good, albeit quite expensive. Breakfast was good, although on our first morning, it seemed frantically busy and the staff had difficulty keeping crockery, cutlery and food fully stocked. We had a lovely big room overlooking the pool and gardens. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. This hotel is probably not in the best part of town, but it is near the station and relatively easy to get to from the motorway. However, Mercure has managed to make the best of the original Villa Romanazzi Carducci site and it is an oasis in a bustling city.

Front desk staff were very helpful and courteous. The property is lovely with a large garden and pool.

A very good option! pleasant environment. A good experience. Restaurant with good optiouns. Very good breakfast. Not too close to the center, about 15 minutes walking. But, in front of de subway and de supermarket. the hotel has a beautiful green area

the room was very small , noisy , poorly lighted and in dire need of refreshment as were all common spaces. overpriced a small TV , . not at Mercure's standard level of quality , and certainly not 4 stars it claims to be. sure Pool and garden are nice but it does not balance the poor service. As Accord program member , no special attention. htey may have large supply of tourists but by performing like that , they will be avoided by business guests. Me certainly .

The hotel was especially good. We loved the grounds and the fountains. We had excellent meals at the restaurant. The rooms was comfortable.
