The location of the hotel is amazing, just right there in the Palais des papes. The rooms were very clean. Be aware that the parking is public and you have to climb a few stairs up with your luggage, then you come out in the square of the Palais des Papes and have to take a few steps to reach the hotel. We loved the fact that there are plenty of restaurants around the hotel. We had a very nice stay.

The location of the Mercure Avignon Centre Palais des Papes was really good. All of the staff were super nice and very helpful. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The room itself was ok -. the separate toilet area was cramped and a bit tricky and the light in the mirror in the bathroom didn't work. Also the hair dryer stopped working after about 10 seconds. All in all, though, the important things (friendliness, comfort and location) were awesome. Also, LOVED the water bottle filling station on our floor (this is very important to me). I wish every hotel did this. Overall, very good experience. Thank you!

Excellent location, except when arriving. Our driver got as close as he could then helped us with our luggage for about two blocks. Inside the hotel, you cannot access our room without going up some stairs. I have mobility issues, could manage the stairs, would have appreciated some help with my luggage. Comfortable, well equipped romm. Great breakfast!

You are nestled in the village and just about everything is just a few steps away. Restaurants, bistros, retail and all the history! Breakfast was great, pillows also! Staff was so courteous and extremely helpful! Another bonus ….water was readily available.
