ibis Styles Karratha 3.5 stars

I would like to provide some feedback regarding my recent stay at your hotel during a work trip. Firstly, I would like to acknowledge that I have generally had positive experiences staying at ibis Styles Karratha. The rooms have consistently been clean and comfortable, I appreciate the convenient access to the laundry facilities, and your staff have always been professional, courteous, and helpful in all my interactions. I have no complaints regarding the facility itself or the service provided by your team. Unfortunately, during my most recent stay, I experienced a significant disturbance that greatly impacted my ability to rest. Late in the evening, at approximately 11:30 pm, a serious commotion began in the room adjacent to mine. The disturbance appeared to involve a couple engaged in a prolonged argument, with loud shouting, fighting, repeated banging against walls, and what sounded like objects being thrown. At one point, the disturbance appeared to spill into the outdoor garden area. Regrettably, the noise continued throughout the night and did not subside until around 5:00 am the following morning. As a result, I was unable to sleep and spent most of the night awake listening to the ongoing noise. Having come off a 12-hour workday, I had an extremely difficult night and arguably the worst night's sleep I have experienced during any stay at Ibis Karratha, or indeed at any hotel. I fully appreciate that incidents such as these cannot always be anticipated, particularly when they occur after hours. However, given the duration and severity of the disturbance, I believe some form of intervention or escalation process may have been warranted to help maintain a safe and peaceful environment for guests. I suspect many of your patrons, particularly those travelling for work and business purposes, rely heavily on a quiet night's rest before returning to site or work commitments the following day. It is also worth noting that this is not the first time I have experienced excessive noise during a stay at the hotel. On previous occasions, I have been understanding of the challenges associated with managing noise in shared accommodation environments, as the disturbances were relatively minor. However, the severity and duration of this particular incident prompted me to formally raise the matter. At this stage, I am not necessarily seeking a specific resolution, but I did feel it was important to bring the issue to your attention so that it can be reviewed and, where possible, improvements can be considered to prevent similar experiences for future guests. Overall great place to stay. Felt like an accor property with all staff exceptionally trained in customer service from check in and check out to the breakfast team. You don't always get this in places like Karratha where staff are not always properly trained and sometimes can have an attitude. comfortable room, great desk for working in the room A few even better ifs for the management team. I had room 21 with sliding door and a key which was fine although I wanted to leave the windows open when I was working in my room during the day it would be distracting with people walking past and being able to see directly in - Suggestion is a second translucent curtain is added so natural light and a bit of the pool side view can come in during the day but with a bit of privacy from people walking past. Also the air conditioner at night kept blinking with a red or blue wifi light that was a bit distracting when everything else was perfectly blacked out for a really good night's sleep. The remote on the AC unit could also be replaced as it was missing the battery cover, the batteries fell out at one point and the buttons were really hard to push to get the unit to respond. With breakfast on the first day I arrived at 6am opening and they were really only getting setup, half the dishes weren't out til 6:15 and some weren't warm yet, e.g. the sausages were precooked and still cold from the fridge and been placed on a warmer plate in a cast iron dish. The food was still good though but would be great if all ready and hot at 6am or just tell guests to come from 6:30 when the food is out. I also had an issue with the iron in the room when ironing my shirts and a lot of calcified black and white materials were dislodged. Suggest the irons all need to be descaled regularly and a bottle of demineralised water for the iron is left in the cupboard. Aside from that great place to stay and will happily come back next time
