If you want a “dream wedding” this is the place. The location within the walled city, the spaces: you will not get a bad photo in this colonial style hotel, and the staff providing first class service (restaurants, pool and your room with your own concierge). I like to specially thank Juan E. coordinating the event he’s great! I also need to mention the breakfast buffet is the best : includes french , american and local food, you must try it! And the service is unique they cater to your table…

My husband and I have a truly special experiment at the 1621 restaurant at the Sofitel Santa Clara. The staff was incredibly attentive and responsive throughout the whole experience. The intimate dinning room made it was wonderful date night and the tasting menu was delicious. I got the wine pairing, which really elevated the experience with perfectly paired wines from around the world. Each course was exciting and it was the perfect way to end our experience in Cartagena. We can’t wait to return to this special spot.

My husband and I have been to multiple tasting menu restaurants in New York City and other major cities, but the experience of dining at 1621 was phenomenal and truly special. The venue and dining experience was steeped in history and Colombian tradition. From washing your hands by the cistern where the nuns prepared their meals 300 years ago to the architecture, it was a special experience. And the every course of the meal was delicious, exciting and perfectly prepared. Each course told the story of Colombia. 🙌😎💯
