Rooms are spacious, modern and clean and great location. Room service was fast but menu very limited. Valet parking v expensive and when we requested our car to be ready the evening prior for the following morning, it was 30 minutes late and the wrong vehicle was provided to us. Also, a member of staff let herself in whilst I was in the room - no knocking first- and no reason to be there. When I mentioned this to reception they showed very little concern or interest. Some improvement needed.

Very poor hotel for the location and for the price. Lift smells like urine. Laundry was expensive and nearly lost with zero follow up. Assistant manager personally promised to link up my stay with my accor account but wasn't done. House keeping and food was generally poor. Simply one to avoid

Outdated hotel. Terrible furniture and service. Nothing Good to say but the daily Australian breakfast. House keeping don’t even check if you still have liquid soap in shower bottle. Flat TV is old, no bed side lamp, reading lights bad. 🤬🤬🤬

This is with relevance to the car parking at Novotel. For the record I am a Gold Member of the Accor Group. It is clear the Director of Commercial is not on the front foot when it comes to a resolution. Hence why my action is all about principle and I will be like a 'dog with a bone' so to speak to get the correct and just resolution in my matter. I was clearly mislead and overcharged, there was a range of perceived contraventions to Consumer Law in which I will have actioned. The contempt shown to the customer is borderline disgraceful and one I will take to the Head of the Accor Group, as a Comapny Director who travels extensively inclusive of my staff, I will be making it clear that we will not be using Accor Grouo hotels in the future should my complaint not be resolved. The Director of Commercial is aware of my complaint, therefore no need to respond to this entry to justify your actions or lack of it. I am not interested in discussing my complaint by phone, Novotel can respond to my messages or via email should they feel the need to. I was there to promote a musical on Collins Street in conjunction with Visit Victoria Australia but have now found a new story to report on, misleading and overcharging of the consumer and the hoops you need to jump through for a resolution. What you can guarantee with Novotel on Collins Street, is that if you have a problem or issue, you can be guaranteed it will not be resolved which is reflected by the generic responses to guest's reviews. Novotel is now a brand my company and myself will not trust again. I will be cancelling all upcoming Company Accor bookings and personal bookings.

House keeping was very poor, I see from other reviews that rooms are only serviced every second day. Our room was serviced as the towels were replaced, the bed was made, but soap dispenser in bathroom was empty, the sink was still splashed with water and soap ,we cleaned it down ourselves and the sanitary bag was not replaced. The consierge is always the first point of call who can welcome you, but most times we walked past them with no acknowedgement or even smile. We asked them the location of varous venues in the city but they didn't know. We did our own google research and found at least 4 within walking distance. The restaurant however provided us with a delicious dinner, so tasty and tender and the staff were excellent. especially one who went out of his way to answer all our questions, if he wasn't sure, he would ask the chef for usl. Next day he made us so welcome, a very valuable employee. Should have remembered his name so he could be commended. Breakfast the first morning was good, next day everything was cold. Air conditioning was a bit hit and miss, sometimes too hot but turn it down 1 degree and seemed like cold air blowing on you, so continually trying to adjust it. Would go back again but only for the delicious dinner, on a par or even better than anywhere we have been before and the friendly restaurant staff.
