Good port location but room is very small.

Room was way too small. We couldn't even open up our small luggage properly, let alone the larger luggage. When we opened up the small luggage, we had difficulty getting into the bathroom - the space was that squeezed. Location is good if you will be boarding a cruise at the Amsterdam port.

A good hotel for location next to Central Station. Staff very helpful and friendly. We had a cosy room which was very basic, I missed my tea/coffee facilities in the room unless I paid for one to take upstairs with me.

We had asked for connecting rooms since there were 3 different f us, but eventually did not get it because the customer service who took my reservation earlier did not indicate my preference.. this was a bad job on the customer service part. The stay at Amsterdam was good and the location definitely is a plus. However, we were denied leaving our luggage with the hotel after checkout,with the staff citing insifficient space in the storage room.. however, we noticed them allowing a another group of Caucasians leaving their luggage after me.. is this some sort of racism going on? End up, my family had to move to Delft earlier than expected instead of enjoying the sights of Amsterdam for a few more hours.. throughout this trip (Amsterdam, delft, bruge and delft again), we had chosen to stay at ivis and sort of expected better treatment.

Lovely hotel, staff really helpful, restaurant food and bar great. Only downside was someone set the fire alarm off at around 5am causing lots of confusion as you can imagine.
