I have booked the hotel for 2 nights for my business trip in Cologne, and both nights included breakfast. On the 1st day, I had breakfast smoothly (I’m satisfied with the food and environment). But on the 2nd day, when I entered the restaurant, the staff told me that my room didn’t include breakfast. I told them this is impossible, after checking, he allowed me to enter. But while I was getting food, the staff talked me on the shoulder and stopped my meal, stating that I was not allowed to continue and that I need to go to the front desk to explain the situation. I showed my booking confirmation which clearly state that my reservation includes breakfast. The staff immediately let me return to the restaurant to continue my meal. I’m extremely dissatisfied with this incident. The hotel failed to verify information accurately due to human error, interrupted my breakfast in an extremely rude manner, and caused me significant distress. Furthermore, there were clearly more appropriate ways to handle the verification, such as speaking with me at my table after I had collected my food. I’m very upset about this experience.
