Room was OK but disappointed as was expecting five star comfort. In fact the room appeared like a 3* or 4* Mercure standard with very small beds. Also the room was cold although an engineer fixed it. The main issue was the horrible treatment on checkout by reception. We advised that we did not take breakfast and were not believed. Left waiting while they went to check with the restaurant and came back and still insisted we had it. Finally, the manager intervened. We do not appreciate being treated as liars. Also dinner service was poor (we got tired of waiting and stood up to pay in the end, missing dessert).The location is an an upmarket part of Brussels, however we were warned about walking to the Gare du Midi which indeed is in a quite sleazy area, not so far away.

The location is great, near some offices, a lot of shops and restaurant around. the room are nice & well decorated (superior) ; the room can be equiped either with shower either with a tube ; the breakfast selection is really good. (can not comment the diner or drinks however the lounge looks nice)

no elevator , only escalator in going up, to lobby, luckily Sebastian was there to help, he has been very friendly n helpful during our stay, room was clean and spacious, toilet a little small, breakfast buffethas limited choices, reception staff can improve their services, not friendly, escalator in going up to the room is dark n tight.

Nice hotel for a couple nights, good access to public transport

A nice hotel for a couple of nights, good conection point for visiting Brussels. It's nearby metro station Louise, but you can get to the Giant wheel "the view" in less than 10 min by walking. Don't expect a luxury hotel. Rooms were clean, breakfast tasty and staff very friendly, but it doesn't feel like a 5 stars experience.

Not a 5 star hotel

Disadvantages: 1. No porter guy who will help you with your luggage. Actually, it's a general problem in whole Belgium. But considering that to get to the hotel, you need to go up a couple of floors using an escalator, that’s quite a problem. 2. We stayed in a city view room. But after one night we immediately moved into another room with garden view. It was very loud all night and in the early morning a garbage truck arrived and took out the garbage so loudly we couldn't even here our thoughts. 3. There is no mini bar in the rooms. 4. Very poor sound insulation. 5. Toilet is the main problem. There is no shelf in the shower so you have to put all your staff on the floor. 6. The shower also has no door. So when you are taking shower, the water is all over the bathroom. 7. Of course, there is no bidet. 8. The distance between the toilet and the wall is tiny so when you are sitting there your head props up against the wall. 9. The only two towel hooks are in front of the toilet - what unsanitary conditions! When you flush the toilet everything from there flows right into your towel. 10. Icing on the cake is the door between the bathroom and the main part of the room. When you close the door, the gap between the wall and the toilet is 5 cm. So if you are not traveling alone, you hear EVERYTHING from the toilet in the bedroom. Rather impossible to go to the toilet if you are there with your husband/wife. Also some advantages: 1. Very comfortable and soft bed. 2. Tasty breakfast. 3. We got a room change after complaining about the noise from the street.

We understand the inconvenience of not having a shelf in the shower. We will take note of your feedback to consider enhancements in our bathroom design. We regret that the open shower design was not to your liking and caused water to spill onto the bathroom floor. We recognize that the absence of a bidet may be a concern for some guests. Unfortunately, bidets are becoming less common in many hotels. We apologize for the discomfort caused by the close proximity of the toilet to the wall. We will consider this feedback for future renovations. Additionally, we understand your concerns about the placement of the towel hooks. You may find it helpful to place towels under the sink to keep them away from the toilet area, and closing the toilet lid can prevent any splashes from affecting the towels. We apologize for the lack of privacy caused by the gap between the bathroom door and the wall. We understand the importance of privacy and will assess potential solutions to address this issue.
