Bedroom entered by stranger in the middle of the night.

We stayed with you on 27th April. During the night one of your staff entered our room at around midnight using a key. (There is no means to lock the door from the inside). We were woken up and shocked and our well behaved dog was alerted and naturally barked. A person entered our room and left when the dog barked. I got out of bed to see if ho had entered and there was a man outside the room with a bunch of keys. He said it was a mistake. However, we were worried that it might be someone trying to break in, pretending to be staff. The staff were obviously doing something in nearby rooms and there were noises throughout the remainder of the night. We did not get any sleep!! The following day there was no apology from the manager or offer of compensation. I saw the young man in the manager’s office and I was merely told it was a mistake. When I complained, ( I could see the manager sat in his office with the door open), he didn’t even bother to look at us. We were passed a message via reception that the cost of breakfast would be deducted from our bill. We had paid for half board and were told that we would receive a €50 deduction. We were in hurry to leave and continue our journey and therefore we accepted; however we have had no deduction. Despite multiple attempts to contact them we have had no refund. I wrote directly to Ibis Abbeville via booking.com on 12th May, offering them the opportunity to put this right before taking matters further. Booking.com also tried to contact them multiple times and they have ignored all communications. Booking.com offered us some vouchers as a gesture, but we feel strongly that Ibis Abbeville should give us the cash refund that was promised at the time. Apart from the worry, lack of sleep on the day and spoiling a part of our holiday. This has now taken too much of my time due to the arrogance and lack of concern shown by the management of this hotel.

1st Class Restaurant

We used the Restaurant on 4 consecutive evenings, each time having the 21.5 Euro set menu. It was consistently exceptionally good quality and value, with a wide choice for each course. This was also matched by the efficient, friendly staff - very professional - thank you to Ben and the other staff members. We cannot comment on the Hotel accommodation as we were not staying in the Hotel.

Dog friendly Hotel, although the rooms are small for large dogs. Town is at least 40 minutes walk away.

A pleasant hotel in an unusual location. Sited behind a small hospital, the Ibis was a long walk from the town centre. There were, however, restaurants in the adjacent retail park. The room was very small and it was cramped when adding two fairly large dogs into the equation. The breakfast was a buffet and well stocked. Staff didn't have much to do with us. The hotel felt fairly basic, however, it was clean and quiet when we stayed.

Very basic Hotel. Parking was OK in front of Hotel and we chanced leaving most of our bags in the car over night without a problem. Hotel Dog Friendly but with limited outside areas to walk / toilet the dog. Food in evening was in a two hour window and quite a limited menu. We walked 800m to a nice pub directly opposite and was great with a full menu and dog friendly Breakfast OK nothing special. Probably wouldn’t stop here again room very very basic and expected better for the price

Terrible IBIS HOTEL ABBEVILLE

INIS HOTEL Abbeville is the worst hotel ever as it changed the dates of my booking to 29th/30th November 2024 after I’d payed for the booking for 9th/10th November 2024 & refused to refund the money or change the dates to the correct ones that I’d selected. Whilst making our way to the hotel I paid the £60.14p for the overnight stay on my credit card after receiving my receipt I realised they had booked the wrong dates so as I couldn’t change the dates on the Allcor website I phoned the hotel where the male receptionist said I couldn’t change the dates or get a refund but I could have a room for the 9th/10th if I payed another €88, which was wholly unacceptable. I then cancelled the wrong booking on the 29th/30th, as we wouldn’t be in France & they promptly refused to refund me & Ibis hotels were £60.14p better for doing nothing 👎 we promptly booked another hotel (not Ibis) & had a very nice evening. Really sad they have terrible customer service as we’ve stayed in Ibis hotels many times before but we will never book an IBIS HOTEL again. Hope IBIS Hotels & ALLCOR are happy with my £60.14p they got for nothing
