Terrible IBIS HOTEL ABBEVILLE

INIS HOTEL Abbeville is the worst hotel ever as it changed the dates of my booking to 29th/30th November 2024 after I’d payed for the booking for 9th/10th November 2024 & refused to refund the money or change the dates to the correct ones that I’d selected. Whilst making our way to the hotel I paid the £60.14p for the overnight stay on my credit card after receiving my receipt I realised they had booked the wrong dates so as I couldn’t change the dates on the Allcor website I phoned the hotel where the male receptionist said I couldn’t change the dates or get a refund but I could have a room for the 9th/10th if I payed another €88, which was wholly unacceptable. I then cancelled the wrong booking on the 29th/30th, as we wouldn’t be in France & they promptly refused to refund me & Ibis hotels were £60.14p better for doing nothing 👎 we promptly booked another hotel (not Ibis) & had a very nice evening. Really sad they have terrible customer service as we’ve stayed in Ibis hotels many times before but we will never book an IBIS HOTEL again. Hope IBIS Hotels & ALLCOR are happy with my £60.14p they got for nothing

A really good place to stay

We stayed here for two nights on the way from, and on the way to, Calais. Rooms are great and typically French ie not vast. Meals are absolutely fine and of course dogs are welcome. This is 2024, after all. I completely disagree with the negative comments made recently. There are plenty of other Abbeville hotels if one wants to pay more but the ibis is great and very handy for the motorway.. We will be back !

Awful hotel, avoid!

Room was awful as it was so cramped and I could barely get down the side of the bed due to the proximity to the wall. The table collapsed on us sending my belongings onto the floor including a dosset box of pills which spilled out and all over the place and I had to throw away a weeks worth of pills as they had been on the floor. The worst thing was being able to hear the person using the toilet upstairs as if you were in the same room as them. The food was overpriced and not very appetising. And they were quite happy to have dogs in the breakfast area wandering round next to the food area. It was wandering on a lead, attached to owners ankle between the table and across the space between there and the area where the bread was, which is a health and safety issue as people who are elderly, have poor mobility, prone to trips and falls and or poor eyesight could easily have tripped over the dog or the lead. Would have been different if the owner had kept the dog under the table or moved to a table further way from the food area. Fortunately I spotted the dog and as a result my husband had to get my food for me. I like dogs but not at the risk of my physical health as I have had too many falls which resulted in broken bones. I was accused of having “uncivility” towards dogs which is far from the truth as my friends will tell you. The manager definitely has an attitude problem.

A nice hotel . Clean and pleasant rooms. The staff are helpful and friendly. Breakfast and restaurant are also very good.

Arrived at 20.00, restaurant open til 21.00. Asked for a table at check-inn. Just got one word as a response: Full. We asked if there would be a table free before closing since we traveled the whole day and needed food. Don't know, not my problem. This kind of behaviour is unacceptable for someone meeting guests in hospitality. Have 45 years+ of experience in the business. Please avoid.
