Very pleasant stay at Novotel West. I stayed here for a business trip and was kindly upgraded by Shalini- thanks Shalini! Good facilities and tasty, varied breakfast. The only complaint was coffee was quite weak. Everything during my stay was very clean and comfortable.

Although the lobby is smart, the bedroom we had needed a little care and attention. The curtain would only open about 2 feet, which made the room dark. We were warned that the phones do not work, which proved true as despite us ordering a wake up call from reception the phone did not ring and the handsets themselves look very 1990s. The bedding was of a poor quality, with two pillows per person which felt old, flat and well-used. One pillow consisted of two strips which meant it was unusable. Everything felt very skimpy and money-saving, such as having to request a bath mat from reception,only two teabags and milk and no body lotion. On the plus side, the aircon was very effective. I realise we were in London, but the drinks in the bar were extortionate - a Pimm's shot was £7 but when a little lemonade was added, it became £12. We had a group dinner in one of the conference rooms in the evening. The lighting was,very strange, and when the food arrived everything looked orange and you could not see what you were eating. The food itself which was lukewarm ranged from mediocre to poor and I guarantee most cooks in the group could have produced a much tastier meal,with the same ingredients. On the plus side, the waiting staff, mostly men, wer very helpful,and cheerful.

Honestly the hotel was an average Novotel so no highs and no lows. What really makes me being extremely annoyed about the hotel is the extremely poor performance after the stay. Normally all Accor hotels manage to put the points in my Accor account 2-3 days after the stay and if it does not work normally one email and it is fixed. I have now send about 3 emails since my stay (I am their top tier member by the way) and the hotel does not even care to answer the emails. This service is bad and embarrassing. Never again

It is an easy walk from the subway to the hotel. Located in a very nice, safe, and active neighborhood. The showerhead could use an upgrade though, and the towel bar was hanging off the wall.

I had excellent stay, my room was spacious, clean and well furnished, there was a mini bar with complimentary beer and soft drinks. There was also crisps and popcorn, which is a nice gesture from the hotel.
