Firstly I don't take kindly to being told to "get a sense of humour" when checking in, I found out later that this apparently was the manager. Room was okay, however despite the hotel not being anywhere near full, we were given a room at the front of the hotel facing the M6, therefore couldn't have the window open due to horrendous road noise, the rooms at the rear overlook a large peaceful garden. There was no vanity mirror or shaver socket in the bathroom, this isn't acceptable in a 4 star hotel. The hotel also advertises that the rooms have 40" TV's, well ours was only a 32". I'm still waiting for my invoice to be emailed to me, 4 days after checking out. As an Accor platinum member we are meant to get a welcome amenity/gift, well not in this hotel. Would we stay here again, not a chance

May I express my sincerest apologies that what I thought was a little bit of harmless banter between yourself, your wife and my myself was taken offensively. I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations and wished that you had voiced your displeasure with your room as soon as it was apparent that it was not to your satisfaction, at which point we may have room moved you. I will look into why you have not received your invoice and get this sorted for you asap. Again apologies for all your issues and do hope that you will give us a chance to give you the true Novotel experience in the near future. Sincerely.

We had a lovely stay over got one night in Coventry. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The room was clean and bright and had everything we needed. The food in the restaurant we found to be nice and the buffet is a good idea.

Clean, comfortable hotel. Professional, helpful and friendly reception staff. Comfortable, clean room with a comfortable bed and a great shower. An added bonus is that there is a separate toilet room.

Staff were extremely very nice. The room was very expensive for £69 per night. We didn’t even get a complimentary drink or breakfast. When we got at the hotel the lift we used to go to our room was so dirty specially in a pandemic The table and chairs outside were filthy (got picture). I would be better off using travelodge

Reception and breakfast service was great as you were to expect of a 4* Novotel. Unfortunately the shower was filthy with yellow and mouldy grout - it was disgusting. We did ask room service to clean but after cleaning it was the same.
