Novotel Chartres Hotel 4 stars

The hotel is outdated and so are the rooms. Very basic, no coffee/tea facilities in the room. There was a dirty towel in one of the closets. The staff is also not overly friendly. The breakfast was buffet where you take the food with twizzers. This did not feel safe at all with the virus situation and people walking around and taking their own food and kids touching everything. This really did not feel like a Novotel.

Reception and room was good. We went to the restaurant and were shown a table. We chose our drinks and meal, and waited. Two other couples came in, chose and ordered. We twice asked to have our order taken and were told "tout de suite". We continued to wait until we felt insulted and walked out.

Usual warm welcome but limited facilities due to the covid 19 virus and the recent increase in infection rates in France so breakfast in particular was rather limited but staff were still helpful and friendly.

Staff very helpful and friendly, great facilities and modern rooms. Air-con worked very well too! Will definitely stop here again if we are passing through.

Family stop over and well worth it. Comfy rooms, quiet, swimming pool and good food. Very clean and felt secure that staff were taking all the relevant COVID precautions.

Reception personnel were charming and very helpful, but the hotel is in veey poor condition. Needs a serious renovation.

See title. When checking out, hotel manager made a 20% discount, which is correct, but to be honest, it's not about the price, we'd have prefer to have better experience at novotel.

Busy, low staff levels, It was a Sunday, poor choice of food, expensive , had to ask for extras that should have been in executive doom.

We have stayed in this hotel for the last 4 Christmas and have never been disappointed. The recent renovation has made the place looks modern and fresh. Well done to the team in Chartres and also special thanks Laetitia and her team who helped us with looking out for our missing items left in the room. Thank you all!
