Very tired rooms and poor location

CLRL Families - TripAdvisor review

The bar area and reception area for this hotel are nice. Lots of seating and quite funky decor. The rooms are very tired and a bit smelly. The bathroom in particular. The corridor is very dark and dreary. It’s quite far from town - about a 30 minute walk and there is not much in the surrounding area. Parking is free with fast EV chargers available (300kw). Food options were ok - the bar staff worked very hard. Reception staff less hard. We asked about dinner but told we could not have a table until 8pm - however looking on the website there were tables available from 7.15pm. Ok for a stop over but I would probably choose somewhere else.

I enjoyed our 2 night stay at the hotel. Staff at check-in and dinner were attentive. The shower drain in my room was plugged and since no door, water flowed out of enclosure. I reported this to the front desk but nothing was done by next day and I had another watery mess when I used the shower.

Great hotel. Comfortable and well situated. The dining room is good and everyone serving there is friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are well maintained and spotless but some are maybe a little bit warm. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Thank you
