I wish there was a coffee machine

central location, near to restaurants, groceries, etc

This hotel is located about 10mts walk from Alexanderplatz station, from where you can go to any part of Berlin. There is also a tram station few meters away from the hotel. There are lot of attractions within walking distance. Berlin TV Tower is about 1 km from this hotel. Reichstag Building, Memorial of the Berlin Wall, Brandenburg Gate and Holocaust Memorial are all within 3 kms. Though it’s close to Alexanderplatz, it’s located in a quiet area. Rooms are not big, just like most of the IBIS hotels, however, it’s worth the money you are paying for such a decent place in so close proximity to Alexanderplatz. Room are air-conditioned and had amenities like TV, free Wifi, kettle etc. Heating system was not working. Bathroom was provided with free toiletries and hairdryer. Room had a view of the TV tower. Breakfast was good with a nice spread, but, the breakfast area was small and we found it hard to find a free table. There is a bar adjacent to the reception. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. There is also a petrol station in the same building from where we got sandwiches, hot dogs, coffee etc. Front office staff were excellent and always willing to help. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and value for money in such a central location.

Well located hotel about a 15 min walk from Alexanderplatz. There are tramstops nearby too. The breakfast room has a good view of the TV tower. The breakfast buffet was good, and they have a waffle station too, which is nice. Other items in the buffet are very continental. There is bacon and eggs (scrambled and boiled). The staff keep the buffet well topped up and the room is clean. The room itself was reasonably small for a twin room, but it was well maintained and again, was very clean. There are no english speaking channels on the TV which is unusual. You would normally expect to have BBC World News as a minimum. The room itself was really hot and the aircon didn't seem to change that much. The room also did not have a kettle to enable the making of a tea or coffee, which I see is reserved for the superior rooms, so If you are not staying in a superior room, a travel kettle and mugs might be a good idea.

A 3 night stay in Berlin that provided ease to get around close to Alexanderplatz and a quiet place. The air conditioning/heating didn't work unfortunately and I slept on top of the quilt as it was too warm. We put the skip the clean sign out and they still cleaned our rooms and changed our towels.
