Another wonderful Fairmont Gold stay. Thank you to the entire 18th floor team let by Alexis (shout out to Rose as well). Wonderful service from check in to checkout and spot on for breakfast each morning of our stay. My Latte is practically waiting for me when I come in! Nice to meet Frank at the bar at Reign, he provided us great food and service that we’ve come to expect and a special thanks to our Room Attendant Analiza who kept our room beautiful despite us working out of it! Thank you.

I booked the Fairmont Royal York expecting the luxury and service associated with the brand, but my stay on December 28th was a major disappointment. The issues began immediately upon arrival. Despite a confirmed reservation, we were forced to wait an hour just to check in. For a hotel of this caliber, that is unacceptable, regardless of the season. When we finally got to the room, it had a noticeable, unpleasant smell. To make matters worse, the pillows were extremely old, lumpy, and uncomfortable, making a good night's sleep impossible. Service throughout the stay was consistently slow and inattentive. When you pay Fairmont prices, you are paying for a standard of excellence that was completely missing here. The hardware (room quality) and software (service) both failed. I cannot recommend this hotel based on my experience; there are better luxury options in Toronto that actually respect your time and comfort.
