We are truly sorry to hear about the stress and anxiety you and your family experienced on the morning of your departure. We can certainly appreciate how concerning that situation must have been, particularly when travelling with young children and trying to catch an important flight. We would, however, like to clarify that we did proactively communicate the Ironman road closures to all of our in-house guests prior to the event. A text message containing details of the expected road closures and the recommendation to allow additional travel time was sent to the mobile phone number we had on file for your reservation. We understand that, for whatever reason, you may not have seen or received this message, and we are genuinely sorry that the information did not reach you in time to avoid the distress you experienced. It is certainly never our intention for any guest to encounter such a situation. Guest satisfaction is extremely important to us, and while we did take steps to notify our guests in advance, we appreciate your feedback and will continue to review our communication methods to ensure important travel information is received as effectively as possible by all guests, particularly our international visitors. We are relieved to hear that your family was ultimately able to make your flight and that your holiday was able to continue as planned.
