Methodology

For this campaign, we analysed the top European cities for live music by collecting data from popular event and ticketing websites. We gathered the total number of available gig listings for each city in 2025, and broke them down by genre to identify which music styles were most popular in different locations. To determine the best overall cities for live gigs, we developed a weighted ranking based on three key factors: the number of events, search volume for gig-related keywords (sourced from KeywordTool.io, including similar searches for a comprehensive view of demand), and the average rating of top venues in each city, derived from Google Maps data. Each factor was given equal weight to create a final ranking, offering an objective measure of the best European cities for live music.
