we were woken up by the cleaning personal as they rushed into our room. I informed the receptionist and he apologized and was very friendly and kind. The ventilation in our bathroom was making noises the whole night, this was a bit disturbing

Our checkin was okay.. We find the room has no basic amenities like safe deposit box, phone, fridge, kettle which are all basic in a room and needed having a baby with us. Food was okay but we were disappointed with one “rude” staff who told us off by getting hot water for our baby. Since there are no kettle in the room ofcourse we need some hot water for his milk, for food and for his water especially on this cold weather.. If this is not possible she could have told us politely and we will managed to figure out how to get one.. Just not a very accor experience .. Worked in the insudtry for 10years and this is not how you treat a guest especially with a baby.

I've been staying at A-Ja, now Mercure since 2022 for my business trips. This is by far the most disappointing. Wifi in the room was not working, bathroom sink was clogged and the door was insensitive to the card (I had a change of 3 cards for a 4 nites stay). The bathroom sink was fixed on the 3rd day and the WiFi never got fixed.

Cold days & nights in Zurich !!!

I would like to explain my rating as ‘’5’’ as follows ; - I and my wife stayed Mercure Zürich City 3 nights starting on 22ndApril. The weather was extremely cold in Zurich. Highest 5-6’C daytime and 0-2’C at nights. After spending all the day outside in Zurich , we normally prefer to stay at the heated room in the hotels . Unfortunately we could not get this chance in Mercure Zurich City hotel , because our room was very cold and we felt uncomfortable. We informed the person at the reception from this case , but nothing changed and we had to stay and sleep 3 nights in the cold room. - Another complain was internet connection. Every night almost at the same time , internet connection was cut for couple of hours and again when we asked the persons at the reception , they told us that it’s well known problem and nothing to do except waiting with patience!!! Hope hotel management can find some solutions for these problems !!!
