I visited Pontianak for business, and it was my first time there. Staying at this hotel was the perfect choice for a first-time visitor; the staff were friendly and helpful with culinary recommendations in the city. This hotel is conveniently located near UNTAN, a shopping mall, and a small botanical garden called a "jungle'. Their breakfast selection is the most varied and extensive that I've had in Indonesia -- 5 types of juices, more than 3 types of Indonesian soups, fruits, rujak, both Indonesian ad Western buffet, breads, sweets, puddings, and sometimes Japanese dishes. Unfortunately, the non-smoking rooms are limited, and some are on the same floor with smoking rooms.

When walking in the hallway approaching the room. Smell of ciggarette you can smell a subtle hint of ciggarette. When entering the room, the smell worsen. Not what i expect of a non smoking room in this type of hotel.

Ac in the room struggled to keep me comfortable. Flooring separated not nice to walk on. Shower door wouldn't fully close. The room had issues. Hotel was quite and peaceful. Food was good in restaurant. Hotel staff very friendly helpful and professional.
