Friendly staff and worst breakfast buffet

Am Business - Confirmed reviews ALL

Stayed 5 nights af Novotel Darwin CBD. Staff were polite and friendly. Surprisingly they charge $5 to deliver food (ordered within Novotel) to your room. If we go and pick up from reception, its free. Breakfast buffet was the worst experience. Bread was dry, cornflakes were soggy, food was cold (including scrambled eggs and sausages). Over my next trip would just spend extra couple of $ and stay at Hilton instead.

great location and hotel, let down by the bathroom

We got a one bedroom with the harbour view. the harbour views are fantastic, the bed is comfortable and the couch, kitchen table and work desk are all very functional. the location is brilliant and despite my complaint below, i would happily stay here again, just not in the same room. However the hotel room is let down by the bathroom. The shower doesnt have a very good drain, so whilst showering water pools in the tub up to ankle height. the toilet doesnt have a toilet roll holder, or a decent exhaust fan, which in tropical darwin is a problem, with your towels simply not drying in the bathroom. I would dry myself in the bathroom, then stand naked under a fan in the living room to dry. the hotel has a nice bar area down below where you can get work done in a cool, but tropical atmosphrere. the serveice was fantastic, and they got my bathroom light fixed when I asked for it to be fixed.

The Experience was great, the location was perfect for what i needed. I do think the signages in the guest laundry could be more clear as its it was 8.00 for both a wash and dry cycle but it wasn't stated on the signage and you had to go to the front desk for the detergent package. Aside from that it was a lovely stay.
