I was upgraded. Although the room wasn’t ready till 2:50. Despite me arriving at 1:30. Front office manager was arrogant. Didn’t say a word and decided to downgrade without any communication and then upgrade again, no apology. Terrible experience, apart from front office manager the rest of the crew was great. Takes one person to ruin it and again the rude and arrogant FO manager managed to achieve that.

Picked by our travel agent. It was really nice, easy walking distance to restaurants, the lake for hot pools , and e-bikes rented at the hotel. We took the redwood trail, beautiful! Nice room, very comfy bed and nice bath. I'd go back to same hotel!

We booked a deluxe king room with a great view of the lake. Nice bathroom, huge shower, comfy bed. Valet parking enabled us to come and go easily. Staff were pleasant, and there are lots of eateries nearby if you don’t want to use the hotel restaurant. We spent the morning at one of the local spas enjoying the hot spring experience. Tonight will be a cultural show and dinner nearby. A convenient hotel base for exploring Rotorua.
