We had been to Rotorua 8 years previously and stayed a little out of the city centre (myself, husband and 16yr old son) . This visit we wanted to stay in the cbd so we could walk around a bit more. We stayed 4 nights. So Pullmans was a great choice. We didn't pay for valet parking, there was no need, we were able to find plenty of parking on the streets outside, that were close and easy. We had a lake view room, and we loved it. Super clean and comfortable. We had no issue with the aircon (it was very warm when we first got to our room, but was easy for us to fix, and no further issues during the rest of the stay). Before booking, we saw some people mention an issue with the setup of the toilet/shower? While definately a different setup, it was no problem for us and we found it easy to maintain privacy... close the door that connected the hall/bathroom area and the sleeping area when in use. Simple. The rooms were immaculately kept and we found the staff, from check in, dining, cleaning... all of them, were very friendly, professional and helpful. Special mention to Lyka for looking after my husband and I when having an afternoon drink before dinner. By the end of our stay, she knew what our order was! :D We did dine at the hotel restaurant on one evening. It was good quality, but a bit on the expensive side (although not unusual for hotel dining). We would also recommend trying Fainting Goat bar (amazing cocktails) and El Mexicano Zapata Cantina (best mexican food we have ever had) for meals, literally just around the corner. There are some nice cafes around the area too, but we really struggled to find a place that made good coffee (actually, we found it hard all over the North Island to find good coffee). We stayed at another Accor hotel in Auckland after this one and it was not as good as the Pullman in Rotorua. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend. It was so easy to get around, room was great and the staff really were amazing. There is so much to do as well. The Kiwi hatchery was a highlight as well as the Redwood walk at night, Skyline for mountain biking and the Luge, parks and all of the geothermal activity. Wish we had had another week!

Excellent service and location. A complete value for money in terms of room size and amenities too. On weekends can park free on designated parking spots at roads outside the hotel. The checkin and checkout is hassle free and quick too. Most of the tour buses pick up from outside or nearby the hotel.

Very overpriced venue. Staff did not provide welcome amenity for Diamond accor status. Rooms were mixed up. We were double charged for our rooms and needed to call to get a refund. Overall, very disappointing stay.

Hi Daniel, Thank you for your review, I have looked at the logs and spoken to my team.. Firstly, let me apologise as this is not a usual practice that we do at the hotel. Second, we do value your loyalty and do respect and acknowledge that you are our Diamond Member, thank you for your continuous loyalty... We have had change of system hence your booking came the way it came which confused our team and hence you were charged twice, we escalated this straight away to our head office and they have since rectified this for us.. I undertand our managers already reached out to you to apologise and refunded the amount. the amount wasnt sitting with us that you paid hence it takes longer sometimes and due to being holiday season, it took us a while to resolve this.. I am proud of my team and they always go over and above for all guests. I wish you well and have a great year ahead. Thanks, DJ

As I mentioned on booking.com site. Very very disappointed!! I have traveled the world and stayed in bed hotel's i chose Pullman thinking my daughers will be comfortable and trust me it's was 1 out of 5 when it come to sleeping arrangement. Worst night for me and my wife. I very clearly booked for 4 adults and 2 kids and gave birth there age of 9. I paid for 2 rooms and unlike intercontinental, Wellington who gave us 2 queen beds we were given only 1 queen or bit bigger bed. When I even requested for extra bed i was told to pay hundreds extra. Would a person from Pullman management team sleep in a room with thier wife or husband wit 2 kids that age on one bed???
