Sure, the hotel is nice and clean, and the staff is well-trained to say “bonjour” and pretend to smile, but this alone does not make a good stay. On Saturday even, April 27, I went down to the restaurant at about 7:45pm to get a cup of coffee. After waiting at the restaurant entrance for a couple of minutes, a man came out and told me that I could not be seated at that moment, and he was unable to say when I could be seated. So I told him that I would go to the bar, which I did. There was only one other customer at the bar, and the woman behind the bar was busy drying glasses. She said she could not help me, but that some one else would. I waited a couple of minutes, and then finally another woman came out, took a quick glance and mumbled something at me, and then left. I waited a minute or two, but then decided it was not worth the wait. My request would have been so simple, and I am prepared to wait if necessary, especially if the restaurant or bar are busy, but as I said, the bar had only one other patron, the restaurant was less than half full, and apparently none of your staff was willing to accept such a simple request from a hotel guest. Other than that my stay was fine.

The beds were comfortable, the location is good, food was nice. BUT After we returned to our room the ceiling had callapsed from a water leak and the smoke alarm was hanging down. At no time was there an apology only to be be told, “no worry” Got to sleep and the fire alarm went off with no communication about 11:30pm. (I would think this was connected to a fault in the alarm from the leak in the ceiling?) Went to pay for our dinner and Accor cards were declined and told to send an email. As far as the customer feeling welcome and looked after….. not at this hotel.
