Very comfortable room BUT the porthole window from the bathroom to bedroom is very annoying. When using bathroom in the night the whole bedroom gets lit up. ! ! A small curtain to pull across would be good.

We often stay here as we take the ferry from Portsmouth and it disembarks at Ouistreham around 22.00 so it's great to have a hotel just across the road from the port and then we continue our journey the next day. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming, especially Elodie on Reception/Bar duty. The rooms are a bit small but then we're only sleeping there overnight so no real problem. It's useful too that there's gated parking if you want to use it which costs a bit extra €5.50 but is worth it as, again getting there late at night the on-street parking is normally all taken. It's also secure so it's definitely worth paying for. The buffet breakfast is also good though I do wish they'd have espresso cups as a small espresso in a large mug quickly goes cold. I'm sure they used to have smaller cups but sadly not anymore. All in all a very pleasant albeit short overnight stay which, given it's location is a godsend.,
