We came with a baby, and in the booking we put "baby bed" in options and comments. On reception we were told that the baby bed is waiting in the room. There was of course no baby bed in the room when we came. I called and the cleaner brought the bed. It was very loud to install (metal bed) so our baby got scared and cried (maybe better to install before). The sheets were regular sized sheets, so the matress was bumpy because it didnt fit. After that I asked for a second blanket (we were leaving for a walk and I asked it to be delivered while we were out). We came back and there was of course no blanket. I called and the cleaning lady brought the second blanket. Without the bed linen (?) We were planning to use the couch as a second bed (it was a convertible), but when we opened it, it was so dirty like it was never opened before. Shame that I did not take a picture. When we checked in we were also not proposed a welcome drink, we had to ask for it... The overal impression is very bad, as if nothing is working as it is supposed to, you have to ask for everything twice. It is for sure not the 4 star hotel service.

Choose this hotel for it’s proximity to Gare Montparnasse our arrival station. Rooms are well above average size for Paris and very clean albeit ours had a missing cover on the shower installation and a chip out of the sink but a hotel like this with a high daily turnover will suffer more wear and tear than a hotel in the provinces. The public areas have a bit of an identity crises more Ibis than mercure but they were much used by the business clients. Breakfast was the usual full offering covering everything from fresh fruit cereals to cooked items and croissants etc. my only complaint is it was so spread out and not all grouped together in a logical way a complaint I have from a stay at an ibis place Bastille also. Every member of staff was very helpful and friendly. The cleaning staff should be congratulated on their work. Accor are doing something very right with their staff training which makes it a pleasure to interact with who understand the concept of customer care. This hotel could become our regular address in Paris as it met our needs perfectly. There are a lot of bistros and bars in the immediate area for a relaxing local evening after a day seeing the nights and it’s well located for the metro but if like us you like walking many sites are in reach.

Checking in good, room had burns on carpet, toilet leaked constantly , washbasin cracked and chipped. Refused to provide Accor discount for breakfast, then negotiated to 20%, then 30%. Only Accor property we have ever stayed in that did not provide 50% discount on food. Will look elsewhere in future.
