1. Food especially breakfast was below avg. 2. Staff managing the guest entry was not courteous. On my 2nd day of visit as I forgot to carry wallet and asked her to chaege to the room she denied me the entry and asked (not requested) to get my wallet. I went to pullman paid much more and had my breakfast as I felt this was not the right way to treat your guests. 3. Rooms keys were getting deactivated again and again and after reaching the floor multiple times we had to come down to activate them. 4. House keeping was virtually absent. (Besides daily cleaning). I was told only after 10am house keeping works. 5. Room phone was totally not working

Well located but not very animated

Nice staff, good bed, good breakfast, good location - but no ventilation

Florentin B. Business - Confirmed reviews ALL

Generally most of the things were fine - good location, very welcoming and professional staff, good breakfast, and (as usual with Mercure) good bed. But: no ventilation. None. It was still "winter" (in fact: quite warm outside) - and therefore: absolutely no ventilation. Some rooms (looking to courtyard) have windows which can be opened. Rooms with external view: no opening windows. Hotel needs to fix this in future. The room was really stuffy and too warm. (The staff did offer to change room but I was already settled and it was too much hassle for just one night)

Dear Mr. B., Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your recent stay at our hotel. We are pleased to hear that you found our staff welcoming, the location convenient, and enjoyed the comfort of our beds and breakfast. We appreciate your constructive criticism about the lack of ventilation in some of our rooms. Rest assured, we value your input, and we will address this matter to enhance the overall guest experience. We apologize for any discomfort you experienced due to this issue. Should your travels bring you back to the area, we would be delighted to welcome you again and offer you a more pleasant stay. Thank you once more for your review. Best regards, Romain.

Worst stay in an Accor Hotel - Never again!

M Families - Confirmed reviews ALL

I booked a superior room for three people. We were given a room with only one bed. After a complaint by phone first no reaction. After ten minutes I called again and they gave us a new room, full of smoke smell and a standard room towards the parking place instead of city view as booked. We complained again and were told after dinner everything will be settled. Nothing was settled. Afterwards we were told I will receive some Accor Points as compensation. I received Accor Points but just those which I had anyway receicved for the stay. What I really disliked was the kind of cheating attitude of the staff. I was told that they knew that the first room was wrong. But why on earth they let me then check in the first room? As a Gold Member I also had to ask for the drink. The first answer was "water is on the room". Later, when I complained I heard that the staff was talking in French each other that there was a problem with the reservation but nobody wanted to admit it to me. Moreover, the room was really smelly (from smoking in the room) and quite noisy from some works done outside at the entrance of the parking to the Montparnasse Train Station. In addition, the carpets in the corridors need an urgent refurbishment. I also very much disliked that my credit card was already blocked in the morning of the day before of the day of arrival although I could have cancelled for free the reservation on that day until midnight. This is a very strange behavior. And after one week my credit card is still blocked! All in all I am really thinking on NOT booking again an Accor Hotel in Paris after I heard of friends of similar problems in other Accor hotels in Paris. I am wondering why the Accor management agrees with such a dilution of their brand. Perhaps they should pay less money to PSG (the Paris football club) and invest more in their hotels and education of their staff, and, probably, pay higher salaries to their staff.
