I really am baffled about how I can possibly describe my experience. I’m still wondering what the catch with this place is. Are they on commission? From the start I was given an “upgraded” room. I am not sure what was upgraded about it. Yes I could see Piccadilly gardens but the bed wasn’t comfy, the windows were very strange to work, the bathroom tiles have been painted and it’s just generally dated and tired looking with an air conditioning system that doesn’t work and huge amounts of dust (along with clothes moths) coming out of this system. You can’t fault the service they provide as at each and every moment they get they’re handing you a google review card and asking in rotations how you are, if they can flip an omelette or pancake for you, get you anything else etc etc etc. I’ve binned 9 cards during my stay. I get it, I do, but it’s over zealous. Service reviews from punters are obtained through genuine good service and not badgering customers because you might have got someone that amazing omelette. Breakfast. It’s 7am. Leave me alone. If I need you I will come to you. I noticed in particular other residents of the hotel getting a bit miffed. I don’t need a google review card at each breakfast either and whilst I’m eating my toast and have my bowl of fruit already, no, I do not need an omelette. I want left alone I understand, as I previously said. They mean well and the service is good but when you try too hard it puts people off - like me. I had other bookings with this hotel which I’ve now cancelled and re booked elsewhere. As much as I like good service I also like to be left alone and service should be X much and not beyond it. Multiple visits to a table from various staff isn’t great. It tells me there’s no communication and they’re just after a tip or reward. You would otherwise have a 5 star rating.

We stayed here for the weekend great warm welcome from reception, explained all about the Hotel, We were on the 10th floor and the room was perfect breakfast both mornings was spot on Rose looked after us so well, Checkout was very good we will definitely be back
