Terrible Paid 10 Times to Taxi

I took the hotel transportation taxi to the airport on the morning of 01-Mar-2024. (Vinasun Taxi, Start Time from Pullman is right after check out around 07:30. Drop time at Airport is around 08:05.) I checked the normal taxi from the hotel to the airport is 142000VND to 177000VND. (Kindly refer to the attachment) I have the cash 200000VND in my pocket and try to use it before I go home. Asked the hotel staff to check the hotel shift taxi regarding the charge fee will not more than 200000VND. So I made the order. But when arrived at the airport the taxi driver required 1740000VND while the meter said 174 (I regard it as 174000VND) I pointed the meter and showed my 200000VND cash. (I told him I don't have more cash) The taxi driver laughed and siad it's not enough, insisted on getting 1740000 VND in cash, and cannot pay by credit card. So I went into the airport to exchange the Taiwan money to Vietnam money and pay to him to catch my flight. (I gave him 3 of 500,000 vnd and 1 of 200,000 vnd, 2 of 100,000 vnd, 2 of 10,000 vnd, 3 of 5,000 vnd 2 of 1,000 vnd.) I paid 10 times as I expected and it's also much higher than it used to be in Taiwan. Kindly check if 1740000VND is normal for the transportation. So disappointed with the cheating by the hotel. Hope no one get hurt any more in the future.

Awesome hospitality, clean rooms and super comfortable stay. People at the reception are super nice and sweet. They helped us in the cab coordination as well whenever it was required. What else one needs in a foreign land

It was a comfortable stay. Hotel’s location is in the heart of district 1, food was amazing and staffs were truly professional and helpful. I must appreciate the energy of the swimming pool attendant GIA and wish a bright future for him. Need not to mention I got early check in facility even at 9:00 am, though check out time was sharp as they have occupancy. I highly recommend this hotel, thanks to the whole team of Pullman.

Just great western business hotel in the core of Saigon. Very good service and all facilities. I can recommend the club lounge. You can easily walk from the hotel to different locations, e.g. Ben Thanh market or any bars and restaurants. Sports facilities are also very good.
