Convenient location for first time visiting Marseille

My first time in Europe, and Marseille was one of the citites I chose to visit. My biggest concern and problem is that it was too hot in my room. The air conditioning was not yet set up and the fan did little to help. The temperatures outside didn't go above 60 degrees, mostly in the 50's, so I couldn't understand why so hot in my room. I tried leaving the window open one day, and when I got back the room was full of flies. I was out of the room most of the days doing tourist stuff. I took a walking tour of Le Peniar which was good. The microwave was useful, I used it once. A mini-fridge would have been nice.

Room was claustrophobic, with bad colors, but the worst thing was a very small and dirty window, not enabling light or air to come in.

I spent four days in Marseilles for business and pleasure. This hotel was perfect, located near a metro station and many restaurant and stores. The staff was extremely helpful, efficient, and courteous.

Great hotel. The room was small and basic, but with a certain rustic charm with its heavy timbered ceiling and terracotta-coloured wall. The location is spot-on, just a block or so from the port. Good breakfast, comfortable bed, black-out curtains that work, helpful staff when needed.

The hotel was near and clean. Though small, it was enough for a comfortable stay. The reception is good and is helpful. Location is amazing. Very near the port and is accessible to all sites.
