Old and broken

A gold Accor member and stay in a room that was unpleasant and old. First thing I notice entering the room was the noisy air vent in the bathroom then found ant on desk, mouldy bathroom ceiling, broken wardrobe sliding door and broken toilet holder and more. Complainted to the manager and request to swap room but they fully booked. Ask for a refund but they can’t do refund. Very disappointed and never going to stay here again

Great location, with easy access to everything by foot or tram. The rooms are quite large/spacious. The staff are excellent. The lobby and public already look modern, but the rooms look a bit dated. If you’re at the back of the hotel, it can be a bit noisy due to the roof top establishment next door, which pumped on until midnight.

Sleep less night, they should have told us before they took money from me that hotel ac is not working due to maintenance When i was checking in then they were telling and that and advising me to open my window in night, we can’t do it, we get cold if we open the window in nights

Good for a couple of nights.

A quick stay going down sentimental lane from when I stayed here 30 years ago as a little girl. Took my son to have fun in Surfers. Rooms are still the same. Balcony was great. Actually slept really well although mattresses need an update. Everything was basic yet clean and tidy. Gym had no weights so slightly disappointed at that. And no pool either. 😢 Overall a pleasant stay. Staff were all really lovely.

Nice Room and Views. Communication Issues Let Us Down.

We stayed in the King Room on level 19 with ocean views. The room was fine. Great views. I went with Mantra on View because we stayed there back in 2020 and I had good memories. I recalled the kids and I enjoying the outdoor spa on level 4. With that in mind I chose the hotel again. Unfortunately, this time the heating wasn't working so the spas were freezing cold and unusable as it is mid-winter. I was disappointed by that as it was a big part of why I wanted to stay there again. When I checked in it wasn't made clear to me that parking was via the Deliveries entry, so I drove into the commercially operated public carpark that adjoins the hotel. The external signage gives the impression that the public entry is the only entry for guests. Despite having paid for parking on top of the booking fee at check in I was then charged another $40 by the carpark as I left the next morning. I couldn't understand why my room key wasn't working at the exit and I had a long queue of cars behind me. I panicked. It was a bit of a mess and marred the experience. I rarely stay at Surfers Paradise because it is fairly expensive, even in mid-winter. I wanted to do it as a treat for the family. If not for the spa not working and the parking debacle it would have been a good overnighter. I guess it comes down to clear communication. The staff were otherwise very nice.
