We had a lovely stay at Peppers for a Wedding recently. The grounds and overall location were incredible. We stayed in a Petite room which was clean, tidy, warm & comfortable. During our stay we requested if there was any chance for an earlier check-in (even just an hour) to assist us with getting ready before the wedding we were attending. The staff were not very accommodating to this request and quick to advise that they couldn't make any promises. Whilst this is a fair response it was disappointing because we were travelling to the hotel from Sydney, they couldn't even tell us a definite yes or no which was very stressful for us. I understand that early check-ins are not always available however for a location where a lot of guests would be staying for weddings, it would be appreciated if a bit more effort from staff to at least try and assist us, or just offer a bit more sympathy would be appreciated. The following morning the breakfast was great, food was amazing and the area was inviting. Sadly the staff again weren't very accommodating, they seemed to be bothered by us trying to make a coffee order - annoyed that were were 'interrupting' their chat (about their weekend plans albeit). Despite all this, I would definitely come back for another visit.

We had booked our stay through Luxury Escapes for two nights together with their added benefits at a reasonable price. We had requested twin beds and our very tiny room was at the back of the hotel with a shared balcony. It definitely didn't look as depicted in the advertisements. The view was splendid but the room was substandard. There was no window or extractor fan in the tiny bathroom and the fixtures were old and second grade. The TV appeared to have been set at a certain volume and we were unable to either turn the volume up or down as when we tried, the TV automatically went to silent. Alas, when we wanted to make a cup of tea/coffee, there was no light over the tea making facilities which made it very awkward indeed. Also, there was no spoon to stir the tea. This may all seem minor and petty but for a hotel of this standard, one would assume that one would not have to ask at reception for help. We decided that we could not stay another night and left the next afternoon. Certainly, even with the Luxury Escape deal we didn't think that the price reflected the standard of the room. We won't be back and will not be recommending Peppers Craigeburn to others.
