A lovely historic house set in beautiful gardens. Room was cosy, nicely decorated and very clean. All the staff are friendly and welcoming, especially Ally, who never steered us wrong with her entertainment & dining suggestions. The breakfast is delicious, hats off to the chef. We highly recommend the smoked salmon omelet & pancakes, light & fluffy. A homemade cake is prepared every day for afternoon tea for guests to enjoy & we did! On our last day, we were gifted scones, butter & jam for our journey. How nice is that! The hotel is in a great location close to the shopping strip & restaurants as well as Voyager Estate & Leeuwin Estate Wineries. We had a fabulous visit to the Margaret River and look forward to a return stay at the wonderful Basildene Manor. Thank you again to the wonderful staff, Sally

We stayed at the Manor from 31st Dec to 7th Jan 2026 and it was one of our best holidays. If you want a peaceful break from the rat race this is definitely the place to stay. The grounds are beautiful, with bbq facilities a pool and tennis courts. The rooms are all luxurious and the staff always willing to help if you need something. The manor is located a quick 3 minute drive from the main town so you are close to everything without being caught in the constant movement of people. If you are lucky enough to get the Champagne Room, as we were, it will take your stay to a whole other level of heaven. I want to send a special thank you to Allie and Megan for their extra special care although all the staff deserve to be acknowledged for their excellent service as well. If Margaret River is your destination then there is no better accommodation then Basildene Manor.

Relatives from Ireland were absolutely thrilled with their stay with us at Basildene manor recently. It reminded us all of Ashford Castle near Galway! This was a highliht of their trip to Australia!!

Loved being so close to both Margaret River town centre and Caves Road, the location really is great. It is very quiet and relaxing, definitely a good spot if you want to go for a quiet holiday as a couple.

We were so delighted by Basildene manor. I originally found it here on Trip Advisor. But it’s even more delightful in person, so quant and charming. Will recommend to anyone we know headed to Margaret River. It’s a B&B with lush grounds, a pool and so many birds. If you are lucky you will also see the kangaroos. The only thing I will mention is that it’s a long walk to town. But we didn’t mind driving.
