Dear Mr. B., Thank you for taking the time to share your comments regarding your recent stay at Marival Emotions Resort & Suites by Mercure. We would like to clarify that your reservation for five guests was not made directly through our official channels, but through an external travel platform. Our resort rooms, such as the one you booked, have a maximum occupancy of four guests, which is a standard established to ensure the comfort and safety of all our visitors. The reference to a “Double Room” refers to the bed type King or Double (two Full beds), not the number of rooms or allowed occupancy. We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced during the check-in process. While the hotel guarantees the room category booked, we regret that we were unable to meet your expectations regarding the space and setup of the assigned unit. Regarding the maintenance issues mentioned (fan noise), we found no reports in our concierge, maintenance, or operator records. We would have been more than happy to assist you had we been informed during your stay. However, we did receive a report on August 22 regarding the toilet handle and clogged sink drain, which was resolved within 25 minute from the time of your report at 8:05 a.m. until completion at 8:30 a.m. We would also like to clarify that we do not offer a service called “Premium Concierge.” This service refers to the travel platform through which you booked, which offer 24-hour support; as previously mentioned, this is independent from our resort. However, at Marival Emotions, all our guests have access to our concierge services, available daily from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., located in the Grand lobby, to assist with any requests. As for the “Luxurist Privileges” also is with the travel platform, about late check-out, there was never a request made to our Concierge or Front Desk staff. Verifying our records, we confirm that you checked out at 9:57 a.m., earlier than the standard departure time of 11:00 a.m. Regarding food and water safety concerns, we want to assure you that our resort strictly adheres to rigorous health and hygiene protocols, including thorough quality controls for both food and water. During your stay, our medical reports did not register any confirmed cases of food or waterborne illness, despite hosting over 1,000 guests daily. While symptoms such as dehydration may resemble food poisoning, there was no evidence of any outbreak or contamination. We are truly sorry to hear that you and your family felt unwell and hope you are feeling much better now. Thank you once again for your feedback.
