Great trip with amazing service from beginning to end with Michelle, then at the pool with Octavio the best waiter and Daniel who always made sure your towel was dry and you had shade if you needed it. Distinct is a Beautiful Resort serving amazing food and giving the vibe for relaxing vacation as well as fun!

So many things went wrong. And even though we discussed/complained about the issues, they were not addressed. We have been to this resort many times and it seems it has gone downhill while the prices have increased. So disappointed!

We have been coming to Marival for over twenty years. When they built what what call the residence it was truly amazing. Beautiful, great people and the best food anywhere! Something has changed. They are so focused on their time share that the have forgotten what set them apart.

Not 5 star caliber, and not as advertised. Food poor to mediocre, wine undrinkable, cocktails watered down, restaurant service unacceptably slow. Forced to purchase dishwasher, laundry soaps, ice despite fridge icemaker; received as predatory, as were outrageous costs for cabanas. Main restaurant closed most of trip without prior advisement. Son-in-law suffered food poisoning 3 hours after leaving beach restaurant, bedridden 2 days. Despite advising staff, no follow-up or concern whatsoever from management. Pool attendant Daniel was exceptional, as was Lemongrass server Carlos. Otherwise, Distinct exceptionally failed us.
