We had a terrific time at Marival Distinct. Everything exceeded our expectations. The staff was very professional and did much to make our stay memorable. We do however recommend that the staff, in the restaurants, have a better command of the English language. We often got something other than what was ordered and at times the restaurant staff was overwhelmed by the number of customers. We did not receive some of the food items that were ordered.

We stayed as a family of 5 at the resort. We booked through costco.ca and were able to come and enjoy this wonderful resort, we were so impressed with the staff we tried to show our appreciation with tipping all staff from front desk to concierge, and everyone during our experience.

I loved the multi-bedroom accommodations that allowed our family to stay in one unit; however, our Villa had daily issues to the extent that we had to be relocated to a suite in the main building. Thanks to our butler, Hector, who was able to trouble shoot issues for us, we were still able to enjoy our stay.

nice, clean, great service, polite staff. food was good but not excellent. not much authentic food at all. the greatest flaw is the hotel allows guests to save beach/pool chairs beginning at 6am+ for the entire day, even though guests are not using them. There were families of 5 that saved 5 beach chairs but spent the day at the pool. Same situation for all group sizes. This really impedes everyone from enjoying the facilities.

There was pretty good food especially for the price point. The beach was beautiful. We enjoyed that quietness of the resort and the cleanliness. The pools were nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful . The one major thing that needs to change is that they need to stop allowing people to reserve any chairs at the pool or beach. There should be a couple of staff members there all morning, making sure nobody tries to reserve a chair. There was pretty not much enough pool chairs if there wasn’t people reserving them and tying them out for hours while other people could’ve used them. That made for a disappointing experience, but other than that, it felt like great value. We appreciated the quietness and also the ability to go to the marival emotions if you wanted more entertainment, noise or people. Also, at the restaurant, the fact that you had to sign a receipt after every meal really slowed things down. Other than that, it was a great experience and we felt like the size of our room along with the price point, and the place were a good fit for our family. If you got rid of the fact that people could reserve beach chairs and everybody was having to get up at seven in the morning to try get a spot at the pool for 10 AM. I wouldn’t consider going anywhere else.
