Mercure Melbourne Southbank (abertura em outubro de 2021)

Quarto confortável, excelente localização, equipe atenciosa e cordial.

We had never stayed on the Southbank before, and chose this Mercure because we were going to events on that side of the river. The hotel was very good and in an excellent location. It was a short and pleasant walk to the State Theatre and Hamer Hall. The Southbank esplanade and a multitude of restaurants were only metres away. Our room was comfortable and the staff were excellent. We'll be back, I'm sure.

Clean, modern, large rooms, good breakfast setup, convenient location, helpful reception staff, lots of towels, good water pressure in the shower and great value. We stayed three nights but would have been happy to spend a week there. No need to spend more at another hotel.

This used to be the travelodge and was cheap and cheerful. Now is rebranded to Mercure and does not live up to the name. The price is now double the cost with no additional amenities. The location is great and parking is right next door at reasonable price. Staff were nice. However with the rebranding nothing has improved for the money. No minibar, no room service, no matching glasswear, substandard cleaning, place looks tired. I contacted Mercure to give them feedback however have not received a response. I wouldn’t rush back.

Do yourself a favour and find another hotel to stay at. The bathroom was totally disgusting. It looked as if a workman with heavy duty boots had walked all over the floor. The shower was filthy and when I tried to talk to reception no interest in taking my complaint. Bed was comfortable.
