One of the worst Accor hotels I have stayed at

We stayed 4 nights , the second morning, they ran out of eggs, when I told them , they said sorry , we are busy, I waited 15 mins , still no eggs , breakfast cost $32 , I had to leave for a meeting with out getting any eggs, the lift was out for 3 days , sometimes the wait was over 20 mins to get downstairs ( you couldn’t use the stairs , because the fire alarm would go off ) , a male housekeeper , walked in on my wife in the middle of the day , with out knocking or shouting housekeeping , my wife just looked up and there was a man standing there , saying he come to clean the room , the beds weren’t made any of the 4 days , no clean sheets for all the time we were there , they just pulled up the top cover, not even straighten the pillows or bottom sheet. There were no replacement of teabags or coffee sachets.

I normally stay at more fancy hotels when in Melbourne for extended break but just needed 2 nights close to Southbank at Easter. I was pleasantly surprised - superb location close to Southbank restaurants, parking next door and a short walk into the city. Had a nice view from Level 10 and the room was more spacious than I was expecting for the price - and all clean. I didn't use the restaurant but just coffee in the morning on the way out was super convenient. Excellent.

A good experience, a superb location close to the river, Crown Casino, quality restaurants and a short walk into the CBD. Very good service was on offer, I appreciated an upgrade and there are good options here for a quality breakfast. The room was spacious and very clean, loved the king bed.

Overpriced and overrated

Very disappointed in the quality of room for the price we paid. $900 per night during Grand Pri weekend is clear price gouging when the std room rate is less than $200. Would have been happy to pay a reasonable seasonal rate of around $450 - $500 but for $900 we would expect a higher quality and include at least a complimentary breakfast. Very poor service on arrival as we were directed abruptly to the self check in machine. Small “Superior Family Room” wouldn’t accommodate a medium family, basic bathroom facilities of low quality, nothing special. I Would definitely NOT recommend this hotel for future stays, overpriced and overrated and there are better hotel options available in Melbourne. Don’t waste your money on this one. 😡😡😡

This is the worst hotel we have stayed in. This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel but I would give it a 2 or 1. We paid over 400 dollars a night to not have the bathroom cleaned and have bugs on the bed. When we complained about the bug they said they would deep clean next day, mistake number one as how do you sleep thinking there are more in the room and mistake number 2 is they never deep cleaned, not even light cleaned. The bathroom where my husband shaved was as dirty at night as we left it in that same morning. Never got teas replaced and some towels had holes. The floors were filthy and the same trash that had fallen outside trash bin was there 4 days later when we left. The rug was never washed or cleaned since the day it was installed.
