Absolutely atrocious treatment from the facility manager , after discovering that my room was facing a main road with major noise and no noise Garuda gor windows of any sort , I tried to have a room change , I’ve been an accord member for over 10 years The so called Manager even raised her voice at me , whilst I was trying to ask her why would I pay for extra for a room that was extremely poor , I have auto immune disease and suffer severe anxiety if I cannot sleep properly She was extremely rude and dismissive stay away from this hotel

We stayed at the Macquarie Park hotel on the 4/2/25 room 323. This was absolutely disgusting! although the room was nice but that is where it ended, I showered but only to find a bath towel that was covered in black spots, the toilet paper hadn't been replenished and was only a quarter full, the fridge was not turned on at the wall, and when pulling it out to turn on water spilled out onto the floor, there was only one tea bag and then the body lotion container was empty and the air conditioner was cycling on and then to standby. My wife went down to reception where they gave her two towels, a roll of toilet paper (when we ordered a coffee, a lady was also getting another roll of toilet paper) they were getting someone to look at the air con but no one came, and no apology. This is not a great advertisement, but I stress that the room was clean and tidy. We have stayed there probably 6 times before without any problems.

Mercure Sydney Macquarie Park as Diamond guest . Here at Mercure Macquarie Park we were really made to feel like welcome guests. Upgraded to a much larger room, free parking for Diamond (open air), early checkin with key printed ready to go, welcomed, status recognised, amenities delivered to room - I couldn’t carry them all! The rooms are ex-Travelodge Mercure but they’ve done up the reception foyer and it’s looking quite smart with an increased selection of food and drinks. They were just turning on automated check in kiosk machines as we enjoyed our welcome drink from a fairly wide range (including a Margaret River Shiraz). Breakfast was a small but perfectly adequate selection covering all the food groups such as fruit loops. 🙂 All the staff were fabulous. 10 minute walk to Macquarie Centre with lots of food options and the metro (25 mins? to central) What a totally different experience where loyalty was recognised and rewarded. Well done! — at Mercure Sydney Macquarie Park.
