Apart from the lack of furniture 1. The lights on the side of bed don’t work, 2. The TV is smart but the functions are locked 3. The air conditioner fan is noisy and mind numbing. 4. There is only one little bin in the bathroom for rubbish. 5. The light in the garage doesn’t change colour so you don’t know if cars are coming towards you. 6. $40 dollars per night is to much 7. The front desk isn’t available 24hours since they stop work around 10pm and don’t answer the phone or give any assistance after 10pm.

Good location, bad accommodation

Whilst the location is good, the accommodation is anything but good. From the minute we checked in and the receptionist would not accept our credit card via the phone and insisted an actual card to get the expiry date and crc, to getting to the room that is very dirty to getting stuck in the lift as although we wanted to get to our floor, anyone getting in and choosing a lower floor made the lift . The rooms are dirty - floors, walls, bathrooms, curtains..everything. Seriously if they are paying cleaners to clean the hotel they all need to be sacked. My view is they aren’t paying cleaners…maybe just paying someone to make the bed and that’s why everything is filthy. I know it’s ibis budget but they don’t charge budget prices. I know people will continue to stay here as it’s close to the venues for sports and concerts. Just make sure you come with low standards and sanitiser.

Do NOT book this place, completely UNACCEPTABLE facility and behavior

The room did not have working air conditioner, the window does not open and smelled like death on a 34c day. The room was UNINHABITABLE. We returned the room keys 15 minutes after check in, and DID NOT stay at the property. We left only AFTER the front desk lady AGREED on a full refund because they did not have another room she could put us in. We had to pay for staying at another hotel for the night. Neither booking.com platform nor the hotel has made any step in resolving the problem or issue a refund a month later.

Second time staying here to attend a concert at Qudos Arena. It’s bare basics, as per last time, which suited us fine for one night. I’m surprised some of these reviews are expecting anything other than this, considering “Budget” is literally in the name. It’s not a fancy hotel. It’s a safe bed, a tiny shower, coffee making gear and a toilet. That’s it. Which, when you’re only staying one night, is what you want. It’s a quick walk to Qudos, which is the whole point. We got parking this time too, which was very helpful.

Small room, good for 1 or couple. Hotel was a little run down in places. Convenient location to Olympic Park Venues, easy walk to all venues. Breakfast was fresh and staff were all friendly.
