The hotel is walking distance from the main city centre, but situated on a busy intersection and right above a night club. It is clean but run down and requires maintenance.

Check in was quick and service was good. Once arrived at room, realised we had been given 2 x single beds instead of 2 x double beds as advertised. Went down to sort out with Reception staff, who quickly arranged a partial refund and drinks for us. No 2 x double bed rooms were available/offered. Upon returning to the room after dinner, noticed some lollies on the floor under the table, near the curtain. These were not ours. The bathroom was also very dirty, including dust and rust. It was clear the bare minimum cleaning had been done. There was also no snack foods available on the mini bar (accessed via QR code, not in room). The room was relatively expensive, and booked with Mecure based on the availability of 2 x double beds. Wouldn't recommend, stay somewhere else! Staff were lovely and helpful.

Never been to Newcastle so pleased to see hotel was close to the interchange. Restaurant staff were Pleasent and helpful both in the evening and morning. Reception staff helpful when we had a problem. Maintenance staff happy to help.
