Lovely setting at Peppers. As mentioned I could not fault the rooms we were staying in as the pi;;own, beds and sheets were like my Sofitel stays. Hotel is a little tired but the staff more than make up for that. From the time I booked everyone was more than accommodating. Karen and Emma kept communication efficient. Camille at the restaurant together with Georgie were both a delight as hostesses. Monica was great in the kitchen.... perfect poached eggs. Only criticism is no contact after 8.00pm as reception closes. Phone connections to front desk not great. That could be the network??? Also no water in rooms which we are always use to. Housekeeping staff were great too. Sarah especially did an incredible job. It is a really lovely relaxing atmosphere that is for sure and highly recommend for a quiet country stay.

DONT BOOK THE ROMANTIC GATEAWAY - Extra money for nothing. We stayed at the peppers Marysville for our first anniversary gateway. We paid extra for their Romantic gateway offer to make it special. Which promised bunch of different things but was not available. Checking with the reception said it was missed and they will make it right. We asked for a refund on the extra add on we paid as besides that the stay was good the and the location is nice. They couldn't issue a refund as it had to be done by the management on the following monday and i would receive a phone call to make this right. I guess their telephone line is down since. I tried sending email explaining this on their email listed on the website. but i guess the email system could be down too I am yet to hear back. Hopefully the extra they charged me for nothing goes into repairing their phone and email system so they could actually get back to their customers.

We stayed at Pepper’s for the weekend to get out of Melbourne. Peppers is modern, very clean, super comfy & great value for money. I had read some reviews about it not being what it had been in the past that there was some faded glory and I even took our own pillows after one scathing review. BUT the room we stayed in (143) was super quiet, modern, extremely comfortable and we had a great time and the pillows were great!

I booked a room for my partner’s birthday, which was also planned as a retreat for four of us. I had reserved a table at the hotel restaurant in advance, called to confirm it, and reconfirmed again at check-in around 1:30 pm. Despite all of this, my reservation was cancelled at 4:00 pm, even though our booking time was 7:00 pm. When I asked reception what had happened, I was told they were short-staffed and that the chef “didn’t want us to be kept waiting.” We explained that we were happy to wait, as this dinner was an important part of my partner’s birthday celebration. However, the receptionist responded, “The chef just doesn’t want to, he is a bit uncomfortable tonight.” This was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. We were in the middle of Marysville, where only a few restaurants are open in the evening, and the hotel restaurant was clearly the best option for a birthday dinner—unlike the nearby clubs or bars. Eventually, we discovered that there was a large function for a sports car club that night. It felt as though we were refused service simply because we were not part of that group, or because the hotel expected to make more money from the function guests. I spoke with the General Manager, who told me to “just come and let them know, and they would take care of us,” yet he offered no written confirmation or compensation. After having a confirmed booking cancelled three times, how could we trust that promise? As an Accor member, I find this experience completely unacceptable. I expect a formal response and an appropriate resolution.

Pretentious, Worn out, slept on the floor

If you like old tired beds with divots wher the last 1000 peoples bodies has been you will love it. Slept on the floor for 2 nights as the mattresses are super old All the pillows feel like a meter high so haf to use rolled up towels as pillows. Staff ignored my request about air conditioning leaking onto the floor in the room and didn't care about a blown light either Not worth anywhere near the money, best get an airbnb nearby.
