Disappointing 2nd experience

I had a chosen Movenpick Downtown once again after an excellent experience back in Nov21. This time was much different: -had to wait 10-15min to get some hot water -room isolation was poor and I could hear my noisy neighbors 3 nights/4 -Laundry was not handled effectively, bags not replaced and always need to request to get it back - I prepaid my stay at the beginning but never got ask to put a deposit for extras which created disruptions as I had to « pay as you go » Concierge and taxi staff are very helpful Overall really mixed experience and wandering whether I will take my chances next time …

Reservation system must be improved. I had booked for the period 5-10 February 2022 with a credit card guaranty and I arrived on 6-Feb-22 early morning (if I remember I put a remark about my arrival time) but when I arrived it gave me an unpleasant surprise that my reservation was cancelled. Some of the staff must upgrade their knowledge about acceptance of foreign currency. I wanted to change a USD 100 bill but the staff refused to accept it telling that the hotel does not accept USD bill issued before 2013. However, another staff seemed to be more knowledgeable and he accepted it. So, these kinds of small things irritate the customers. Otherwise everything was very good.

Very good stay in Movenpick Downtown Dubai

The staff was wonderful, espacially Frankline who was a very good help all the time. the room was perfect and always clean. food in the restaurant is great, and the service was at high level. I will recomend this hotel for all travelers who are looking for a quite place to be nexxt to Dubai Mall.

Nice hotel and location

Likes: Very clean rooms, quiet, spacious, excellent location. Free parking. Nice pool. Nice massage service. Dislikes: As a golden accor member i expected a welcome drink or an upgrade but non of this happen. Breakfast should have more variety. Check-in, check-out process are VERY slow. 15 minutes before boarding my plane, i received a call from the hotel asking to pay a deposit or else my room will be cancelled! This should not happen. Overall a nice stay but need an improvement with what was mentioned.

Amazing hotel in Dubai downtown

I had a pleasant stay in your establishment. All the staff is very welcoming and professional. A big thank you to the 2 young waiters of the pool bar as well as the breakfast team who were also very helpful and smiling. The hotel is cozy with a nice modern decoration. I highly recommend this hotel

Bad experience

Terrible constant maintenance issues which were a huge nuisance. Poor service and responsiveness. Management did not care or deal with despite being a gold Accor member. Will not stay in this hotel ever again.

The MovenPick I stayed in is definitely one of the few “feel good” hotels in downtown Dubai...in terms of hospitality that truly had the Xmas vibe...I just wish they had more fun activities on premises...I especially loved that I managed to book their only apartment with the “Burj view”

Unfortunately Appalling Experience

Stains on furniture. Flies everywhere in the room despite 2 times full pest control. Service is appalling and very slow. No amenities given throughout the stay. Customer satisfaction zero. Mangers could not resolve the issue.

Very clean room and amenities. I visited their spa (Onsen) and had an amazing relieving experience. The therapist Yuni if I’m not mistaken is very professional and hygiene expert. Room service is spotless. Will repeat my stay in such lovely hotel apartment.

I’ve enjoyed my stay and will come back for sure! Rooms are clean and service is on point. I’ve made an early checkin and the assistance was perfect. The breakfast is also very good. The valet parking is too small I think that it’s the only weakness of this hotel.

Location is a 10-minute walk from the Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa water fountain. It served our purpose of the stay, in downtown. Forget about view from hotel rooms. There's a small grocery store right next to the hotel. Very nice apartments.

Disappointing

Our second stay within a year. Got an upgrade to a spacious one bedroom apartment which was clearly not cleaned properly. Well located close to Dubai Mall, but not much else in and around the hotel. Numerous constructions sites nearby, but thankfully not noisy during our stay. This hotel has great potential, requires better house keeping and public relations.

Excellent apartment, room service, etc.. Valet parking is available. Free chocolate available at lobby at certain time. Everything available at the apartment, superb location just opposite to Dubai Mall near Cinema Parking and fountain. Highly recommended.
