Terrible, dirty and unfriendly staff

I am completely shocked at the state of this hotel. I used to come here many years ago and remember it as a nice Hotel with a very good Restaurant (it was always packed). I stayed at the hotel for 1 night and I can honestly say, I will never stay here again. While the hotel might have deserved the 4 stars MANY, MANY years ago, it certainly doesn't deserve them anymore. 1) The rooms are entirely outdated and dirty. The walls are banged up and it seems like the Hotel has never been renovated since its opening. The bathroom floor was covered with black hair, so was the shower and the shower was moldy. There was still a hairpin on the sink from the prior occupant. 2) The food at the restaurant tasted like it came out of a carton and was just warmed up. For the quality, it was way overpriced. 3) the service at the Restaurant was basically non-existent. We were directed to a table that still had dirty cutlery and napkins on it. The waiter replaced the cutlery but didn't change the "food-stained" napkins until I asked him to. 4) I had paid for my room prior to my arrival through the Accor website. I even received an email that my room is paid for and my balance to pay at the Hotel was 0.00CHF. Upon check-out I was asked to pay the full balance for room and meals. When I informed her that I had pre-paid the room, the lady kept insisting that this was not true until I showed her the email confirmation. She called upon her manager, which basically shrugged and said she will look into it. There was no "I am sorry for the inconvenience" or anything. Very rude staff overall.

I would not return ...better/cheaper options in airport area.

Had to spend 2nights here for a biz conference. I'm used of staying in Zurich airport area but this one my 1st stay at Moevenpick. Honestly speaking this is not worth the value ! Staff not very professional at front desk, electronic key system to access the door "out of age" means not working well at all (several peple went up to the room and then back at front desk to recharge the cards...very boring) ....TV channels set up in a non logical way. Their shuttle to airport is not operating full day...which forces you to use taxi or public transport in case you need to go at airport "outside" their standard hours. Some good points though....Nespresso machine in room, good WIFI, very clea and comfortable room, great breakfast and quite location. Also a small fridge. Public transport a few minutes walk away.

Rude receptionist and wrong food delivered to room,when call to complain nobody answers other than the main reception like and the lady is hopeless,my advice is to book the Hilton hotel which is a stone throw away and much better than this place

If it's just connecting to wifi for leisure, I wouldn't bother. But chances are, your prospect customers and checked-in like choose to stay within the vicinity due to business as usual. Having said, poor connectivity is big deal. On top of that, hotel staff aren't accommodating. Avoid the hassle and pick somewhere else

Needed to be in Zurich ahead of a flight and elected to stay near the airport - hotel and in room ammenities not bad - the place is looking a little tired (wall paper in the rooms is in need of replacement) - staff great and shuttle service to the airport a winner
