Nice and spatious family room. The rooms and furnitures are brand new. Very comfortable for family. 10-15min walking distance to tourist spots. The laundry room is very convenient. BUT the big issue: every day from 6am, you get music and time annoucement on loudspeaker from a nearby building every hour. My wife and kids were not bothered but It woke me up every day at 6am, 7am, 8am... Very annoying! I wouldn't recommend the hotel for sensitive ears like me.

If you want to come to Xi’an and have an awesome stay I would strongly recommend the Mercure Xian hotel. It’s brand new, very well designed, extremely clean and with a location very very central. At 5 min biking from bell tower and Muslim market. Breakfast is huge and you can even exercise in a gym with good machines and laundry for free. Room are with a good space and very modern (japanese wc,..) usb plug everywhere... and the price around 400 with breakfast very good. An ideal place to stay to visit Xi’an. People are warmly hosting and welcoming guest even if they don’t speak English they will do their best to satisfy you. Don’t hesitate!

We are a couple who stayed here for 6 nights, from 2-8 November. We were delighted with the Mercure Xi'an Downtown, which is a lovely hotel. The room is excellent (especially the bathroom, separated from the basin area, and the smart toilet), the staff are helpful, the delivery robot is amazing, the free laundromat is excellent (with modern dryer and washing machines, washing powder, steam iron and ironing board), plus the hotel location is close to major places to visit. We were very pleased to stay here. The hotel is new, having opened in April 2019. We were given a complimentary upgrade to the privilege room. There are two areas where improvement is needed: (a) The level of English skills in the hotel is poor; only one staff person is confident in English, with all others resorting to translation machines (written or oral). This sometimes led to mis-translations and misunderstandings. (b) At breakfast, the pastries were always very dry. There are 7 Mercure hotels in Xi'an, and Apple maps and Bing or Google searches for this hotel usually identify other Mercure hotels instead. So be careful to book that it is this hotel you book, which is easily done on the Accor website. We strongly recommend this hotel. It is very nice, and very reasonably priced.

Me and my friend checked in on 9/12. I was standing at the Accor designated Counter to do the check in. After a while the female receptionist requested her male colleague to do the check in. Instead the male comes to the counter, be ask me to go over to his counter. I was speechless. Since I am a gold member, I should be Entitled to a upgrade. The male receptionist just kept quiet. Anyway do matter. Here comes the surprise- Amex card ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE. This is the 1st hotel which I encountered that does not accept Amex. Room I’d pretty good by TV program does not have CNN, BBC OR CNA - this is bad. Even the other problem had problems, the TV frozen. Breakfast served the worst fried eggs. They don’t know what is Sunny Upside. Some of the food are cold like the fried vegetables and even the Sausages are cold. One thing I am impressed was that, they have robot to deliver take-out to my room. I checked out on 9/15. Again I was at the Accor member Designated counter. There was only 1 female receptionist at another counter. She asked me to go over to her counter. I chided her, she should comes over to me.She just smile. Also she did not offer to give me the invoice. I asked her and her reply was, if you want the invoice , you have to ask for it . I am very angry but I just kept my cool and left. Is it the responsibility of the receptionist to ask the guest whether they need they need the invoice or not, right. This hotel is a no no no no for me.

For a hotel like this the price was very cheap. Everyday they changed the bath towels, the toothbrush and soap. The bed was vey big and comfortable. But it was not perfect. Firstly, we could hear the Church clock every hour, from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., the pillows's fabric had holes in it, they didn't always check if we had toilet paper, and the TV did not have good channels. Still, they had good wifi and everything was clean. The location was also very convenient, 10 minutes walk from the Bell Tower. So overall it was a good stay.
