Very poor customer service

I dined here with 9 other business colleagues on April 25th 2024. The table was pre booked but there was no meet and greet service on arrival and one of the waitresses indicated we should find our own table. She said this with her back to us as she walked past us. Most of the seats were attached to the floor so we had difficulty finding a suitable table and ended up huddled and crowded for our meal. We waited to be served until a passing waiter said over his shoulder to look at the QR code. There was no courtesy when we were served - staff were officious and in some instances quite hostile. My starter and mains were served together and the table was not promptly cleared of plates/glasses making it even more cramped. It was a struggle to get table service for anything ie drinks, more napkins. A part of our order was not served yet added to the bill. It was worth 14 Euros on a 464 Euro bill. The staff and manager, flanked by imposing security, were highly argumentative before eventually amending the bill. We we not asked about our experience, wished a pleasant evening- they even declined our request for them to take a group photo of us (the meal was uniting colleagues from all over the world). Whilst the food was adequate, the dining experience was not as there was a complete absence of customer care. I will not dine here again

We arrived late one night and left early the next morning, so did not notice a lot of things previously mentioned, like no coffee or tea, water etc. In saying that, our beds and pillows were comfortable and the towels were new, plush and big - definitely a change from the norm. The rooms and bathroom were funky, with quality fixtures and fittings - we liked the design a lot, although it was a little dim lighting wise. We ate dinner and breakfast there as did not have time to explore Luxembourg at all. Both meals were very good - would definitely eat there again. Check in was slow and staff (in particular the female) had a bit of attitude! It was the most expensive place we stayed in our 4 weeks in Europe - but it's Luxembourg I guess.

Stayed in various mama shelter hotels around the world so I am used to the nice decor and funky ambiance which is something that keeps me coming back but on this one i was received by alexandra from front desk with an overall un friendly attitude very unlike the spirit of mama shelter. Apart from that everything was good, great room delicious cookies at reception great food and ok location ( transport is free in Luxembourg so no problem traveling into the city) on the downside cinema is not public and no gym.

+ The lobby is adorable. We appreciated the free movies available in the room. The tram could not have been more conveniently accessible. - I was a bit baffled that the room did not have a coffee/tea machine. The bed felt like a lumpy futon. We paid a bit too much for these accommodations. We debated switching to the sofitel for our final night since the rate was so comparable.

The reservation was made 5 months before for a big group. Although a good discount was promised, only a small discount applied (for free cancellation, 30 euro vs 300 euros paid for 2 nights). The hotel is quite nice, but not for the price. My room was quite small, not enough light (weird windows). 3 days before arrival I wrote an email with an important for me question. Unfortunately, I’ve never got an answer (although I used an email-address from the booking confirmation). As I needed an iron I got it in 1 hour 20 minutes after 3 calls . And there was absolutely terrible washing soap (defined for both, hair and body) and no conditioner at all. It was first time when I hadn’t brought my own. As a result, during the official part of our meeting I had real straw instead of hair. Had to buy after all the stuff for the hair just for 2 days.
