It was an impromptu stop on our way from Warsaw to Paris. We (my two young kids and I) flew in early on July 20 and planned to spend a day in Luxembourg before taking a train to Paris the next morning. When we arrived at the hotel around 10 am, we were hoping to be able to leave our luggage before we could check in and go for an exploratory walk. However, it turned out I made a mistake when booking the room and reserved a room at a DIFFERENT Sofitel, quite outside the city. You cannot imagine how upset at myself I was. But here comes Jessica, the front desk hero - since I had made the reservation through the hotel website, she was able to call the other hotel and transfer the booking to her Sofitel; she also gave us an upgrade and was able to check us in immediately. She will forever be remembered as the hospitality clerk who saves your day, and with the most welcoming smile and grace! We proceeded to have the most memorable and wonderful day in Luxembourg, visiting restaurants and sites recommended by the hotel concierge (and I'm sorry I don't remember his name but he was lovely and very informative). We closed the day at the top floor bar with the view of the city at sunset and delicious treats. Amidst the summer full of travel, numerous flights, train trips, and hotel stays, this particular place will be always a treasured memory thanks to the extraordinary staff of Sofitel Grand Ducal and the beauty of the city.

Better than expected, bed is so comfortable it was hard to get out of it in the morning. Friendly and helpful staff specially the concierge. Me and my plus one loved everything about the hotel. Thank you!

Right on the bus line to and from airport…Couldn’t be easier to get here. (Buses are free in Luxembourg) Great location for tourists…Easy walks although kinda hilly. Easy check-in and out. Professional staff. Good Wi-Fi and fast elevators. Reasonable sized room. Bed and linens are okay.

The place is very beautiful but some people working there are a bit snobby. Check in took ages and the 2 people serving us didn’t even consider me but they were only talking to my bf. Making me feel like something is wrong with me. You should talk and look at both people and not only one. A part of that everything was okay and the place had an amazing view.

The service is top rate. A really lovely stay. The staff is welcoming and extremely helpful. My husband was not feeling well and they made every effort to make sure we had what we needed to take care. The hotel restaurant and bar have spectacular views over the city. It is an in an accessible location… I walked to restaurants, shopping, parks, museums and other sites easily. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. I will certainly return.
