Stayed for three nights including new year's eve. Check in was efficient and staff were friendly throughout. Our room was on the 4th floor, our view out wasnt good but that didnt bother us. The room was clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed. We didnt eat here so we cant comment on the food. The bar on the 8th floor was so nice, spectacular views and extra special with the fireworks throughout the city on new years eve. Drink was pricey but it was a 5 star hotel after all and Luxembourg in general isnt cheap. The hotel was a short walk from the main centre which meant it was lovely and auiet. Definitely recommend this hotel if its luxury and relaxation your after.

Unacceptable Service and Room Conditions I booked a room with two beds and a good view, but was given a second-floor room with one bed, overlooking the street, with no city view. The room was cold (around 21°C); a technician came but the heating did not improve. Check-in service was inconsistent and disappointing: other guests were offered chocolates, bottled water, and assistance with luggage, while I received nothing. These guests stayed in neighbouring rooms paying similar rates. I suspect my casual appearance and a supermarket package influenced this treatment. This double standard and poor service ruined the start of my stay on the eve of the New Year. Unacceptable for a five-star hotel.

As always, a wonderful stay! The staff is extremely professional and makes you feel truly welcome, especially by recognizing returning guests. This is without doubt my favorite place to stay when visiting Luxembourg. I highly recommend this hotel for both business and leisure

Great Location. Two bus stops right in front of the hotel. Public transport is free. Some of the best views of the old town. Great Breakfast. The SOFITEL F&B Manager put together a great Breakfast open buffet.Great choice,quality and fresh. The Sofitel Grand Ducal Maitre de Hotel put together a great team, thank you to Ms.Carol from Peru, the Moldovan 4x4 , and all the others. Housekeeping nearly perfect. Front Desk perfect. The Concierge function can be improved upon if they could only provide competitively priced taxi options to guests. Some junior Concierges indicated that they would like to be further appreciated in return for sharing information or assisting with communication in French. The seperatly located toilet could use a thrash can. Carrying your dirty thrash between rooms is a bit inconvenient. Nearly perfect. Will definitely return.
