This hotel was flawless. It is perfectly located near restaurants, offices and the (free!) tram. The staff on reception were slick, professional and very helpful. The hotel itself is beautifully kept, and the room was amazing; it was spacious, had great tea/coffee facilities (although unfortunately no milk/creamer), stunning bathroom and the best shower ever. The hotel breakfast was the best I’ve had in a long time, and the dinner in the Luxembourgish restaurant was incredible and the staff were amazing. The only flaw with this hotel is that the bed is so comfy you will find it impossible to get up in the morning and will inevitable be late to work… 😊

The hotel is perfectly located to explore Luxembourg and offers an easy and fast access to the old town and the airport. The neighbourhood is lively and the shopping centre next door offers a wide array of cafés. The public spaces have been renovated and look beautiful, the rooms are quiet and pretty spacious. I had a very pleasant stay thanks to Mr. Turquia and Mr. Komann who have been wonderful hosts, thanks so much for always looking so well after your guests and clients!

Extending the stay went difficult and gave us stress

We stayed from 11/04/2024 till 14/04/2024 Overall we have been happy about our stay. The staff does really there best to make our stay really nice. On saturday 13/04 we decided to stay a night more. The receptionist that was on duty on saturday 13/04 in the morning wasn't helpfull at all and was rude. I called in the morning to the reception. The receptionist told us that she can't get the price because something is not working in the system. She said to come back around 11 am. My wife went to the receptionist before having breakfast. She said: I don't know the price, you have to came back at 11 am. I told this allready to your husband he. Around 11 am I come back and we still have no answer. She proposes us to leave the room. Around 12.30 she calls us. Do you speak french? Yes I do. The price for the room is .....euro. and with breakfast ......euro's. So you are allready late in the room. What do you wanna do? You wanna stay longer or no? My wife wanted to leave. This is a really unpleasant way of handling with guest that want to extend a stay. We both felt bad by extending because the woman at the reception was rude. We where released by checkout that we could talk about it with de front office shift leader which was really nice and frienly. We had also a nice mail of the manager to solve the problem. I am sure there are bussy to train this front desk employee. Kind regards

A nice hotel in the business district. The rooms were spacious and well appointed and the hotel was close to free transport. The staff were ok, some helpful and polite while others were a bit rude. On the second day of our stay the whole hotel smelled of sewerage which was very unpleasant and no explanation was given.

This is the first time we had book a Sofitel hotel and it didn’t disappoint us. My family really love this hotel — from friendly staff, good customer service, big hotel room and the complimentary mini bar. It is indeed the best choice for us to celebrate our 15th year wedding anniversary. I would like to highlight the things we love in our stay: (1) the customer service we have experienced is very commendable from check-in to check-out. They are very friendly and always asking how can they help and you can feel the sincerity to help out. (2) the room is perfect for the family of three with a big extension room which serves as the seating/living area. If you like to hang out in your room and have some food to enjoy, the room is perfect choice to enjoy your favourite meal as the room comes with a dining table which can approximately 4 persons (3) the location of the hotel is perfect and very accessible to everywhere (transportation, mall, shopping, and restaurants). It only takes few minutes to the centre if you will take the T1 tram (well, transportation in Luxembourg is free anyway) (4) the gift and complimentary room upgrade. This is what we really appreciate and made our whole stay incredible — they have given as a token to celebrate our 15th year wedding anniversary and a personalised note from them. We really appreciate their effort! Room: We were given a suite room which has a separate bedroom and a living/dining room. Both rooms have a television installed which you can also connect using chrome cast / screen mirroring. Toilet/Bathroom: The bathroom is quite big which contains the bathtub and a separate shower area. The toilet is also separated from the bathroom and located near the main door. The bathroom amenities are also provided — e.g. body lotion, cotton buds, shower caps, cotton pads etc. They also provide bathrobes and free slippers. Breakfast: Your typical European breakfast :-| One thing to note about their breakfast is how they support sustainability and how they would like to minimise food waste. I think this is a good initiative! Staffs/Customer Service: Two thumbs up for a very good customer service and very friendly staff — both in the reception, house keeping and in the breakfast. Freebies: Complimentary mini bar — 3 cans of soda and 2 bottles of water (still and with gas) Additional bottles of water are also provided inside the bedroom Espresso coffee machine which contains variety of coffee capsules — choice of decaf is available For tea lovers, they have also good choices of teas enclosed in recycled tea bags (sustainability) What is missing? According to my son who enjoys swimming, it could be a perfect hotel for a family who loves staycation only if there is a swimming pool :-) The television in the living room is not configured to be connected with chrome cast / screen mirroring. :-( Are we going back? It is our first time to stay but it would definitely not the last!
