The hotel was extremely convenient for me in terms of proxinity to my work and has ample amounts of parking. The check in process was quick and the service was top notch! The room as well was spacious and clean and had all the amenities you would expect from a 4 star Mercure Hotel. Breakfast was great and the dinner was very tasty as well. The bar was well stocked and had great music playing. Will definitely be staying again and recommend for any person travelling to the Newbury area.

Stayed here for a business trip and it was absolutely fantastic. The room was very spacious and was exactly what I needed during my busy work trip, especially the comfortable bed and quiet surroundings. The staff were amazing as well and the food was great! I look forward to returning back soon - thank you to the team!

1st review not printed that’s how dreadful this hotel is - room one not cleaned room two - still cleaning. Room three radiator valve didn’t turn off - ground floor so couldn’t open windows. Bar shut at 8, no draft beer. No staff, limited breakfast. Staff smiled and apologised -when you could find one then. did nothing 2night £168 waste of money - hotel empty & friends at the opposite end of hotel room -cardkeys kept locking us out Stay away

Nice spacious room

Our room was very spacious and clean. The mattress was very soft. The sides of the bath were very high which made getting in and out difficult for me. Did not really enjoy the breakfast. It was not very hot and the coffee was bitter. If you asked for drinks from the bar during the day it seemed to be somewhat of an inconvenience. They would ask if you wanted ice in your drink and have to go out the back and get it, then come back with only enough for one drink, then if you wanted ice in another drink the same thing again. Only small things which could easily be sorted out. The room however had a very nice view over some fields. I no would return but make sure to ask for a room with a shower and would not have the breakfast.

AWFUL. Truly the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Amateur staff, disgusting food, room cleanliness appalling. DO NOT STAY HERE. I would stay anywhere else rather than this. I will NEVER stay here again. I stayed here for business and will not stay again. A truly awful experience. Wanted a bath but it was disgusting (see photos). Never again...
