Nice rooms in Central Reading

Enjoyable stay even if only I night. Sadly the bar had closed by the time I got back from.dinner so didn't get to.sample that. Room.was nice, though maybe a little.small. Nice king-size bed and power shower. The only complaint would be housekeeping knocked on door twice even though I had put do not disturb sign up. Checkout is 12, so had not expected door to open at 930 and then another knock at just before 11. I was trying to enjoy a sleep in so a little annoying.

Lovely stay over with my son and partner, room wasnt clean though, cups were dirty like they hadnt been refreshed, the shower was dirty, all black stuff on the tiles that easily washed off so not sure what it was and empty shower bottles and lids left in shower, making me think wasnt actually cleaned, slightly worrying given a time we are in and cleanliness is more important, maybe was the early check in that caused it to be rushed. Breakfast was also a let down as was stone cold and the cleaning of the tables could of been slightly better like cleaning the salt and pepper pots would be an idea as witness a kid sneezing over one of them which then put me off eating.

I have spoken with my Executive Housekeeper and I have requested that she urgently speak with her team to ensure that they are aware of the consequences of their actions and to make certain that in future the rooms are checked more thoroughly in order that future guests do not have a similar experience. Please let me assure you that our Food and Beverage Manager has personally conducted some retraining with the restaurant team members and supervisors to ensure the service issues you experienced have been resolved. My family appreciated our stay in Novotel, The staffs were very helpful. The hotel provides us almost every facilities . Food was great(i mean it :))Overall experience was awesome. I'll recommend this hotel to every couple and families:). You wont regret, just be there:)

Check in was chaotic. Room wasn’t ready until gone 4pm. Staff seemed over stretched and communication was poor. The room itself was just average. Very strange layout with a separate toilet. I have definitely stayed in better hotels with more engaged staff. The plus side is great location close to shopping and public transport. Breakfast was nice. The car park is small and over priced I wouldn’t bother paying for this! There are loads of car parks around that are much cheaper.

The staff were very Friendly but the stay was majorly let down by the cleanliness of the room. We didn't check in until after midnight so there can be no excuse for the room not being ready and up to standard, but the bin wasn't emptied, the bed wasn't properly made and there were no large towels available in the room. Based on the condition of the room I'm not even confident that the room had been sanitised or cleaned at all, and after years of staying in Novotel hotels for the first time I'm strongly questioning if I'd stay in one again!
